Sure makes installing door hinges, handles, & locks a breeze. You will still need to own a chisel and know how to use it but this tool definitely speeds up the whole process and the results are excellent. The only downside to this particular tool is the router bits and how they are threaded on the ends. Assuming you wear your routing bits out, you better be able to source new bits or be a machinist so you can either cut threads on a standard shank or make an adapter to use a standard shank bit! I'd highly recommend this tool for anyone who installs their own doors!

I’m definitely no expert but this was a very useful tool. Helped to install a complicated mortise style lock. Littler nervous how many uses I will get out of it, or where to get new bits. Durability is maybe not the best, near the end had to make sure everything was well greased and tightened so as the bit went in, the system got a bit more wobbly. By the time I finished (see photo) the bit was dual. Value to the tool though was worth it.

I was skeptical at first because you always get what you pay for but this worked very good for edge Boring for pocket door hardware. I would say this tool is a good value but if I was using it on a regular basis I would upgrade.

This kit is practical and precise, with tungsten steel cutters that guarantee a professional finish. Perfect for installing locks with ease. Great tool!
