6 Completely Different Cats Love Them!
I normally don't write reviews at all but after seeing some less than 4 star reviews of this product, I was compelled to write my thoughts. I have five indoor cats and one outdoor cat, who is always outdoors (I believe all cats should be indoors unless on a leash or otherwise safely contained, but she was a rescue who was treated poorly by other cats and has lived her whole live outdoors and when we brought her in it was a bit much for her and so she prefers to remain outside). We have a very affectionate orange tabby Manx, an outgoing Japanese Bobtail mix, a very active Abyssinian mix, and two very different Maine Coons. One is teeny and the other is rather difficult and not as fond of handling as the others. At any rate, these are THE BEST harnesses ever. Sure, if you connect it properly it can slip but I have found that you just practise a bit and figure out how it works and tighten to a finger's width of space or so, just so the cat is comfortable. All five of mine absolutely LOVE them. Unlike a traditional harness, which only my one cat had ever liked, they walk around normally and jump and even run in these. They love the bungee leash because they can always move without feeling restrained and, should the need arise, they can comfortably pounce "prey" like bugs or leaves. Even when we watched my parent's cat for a few months, an unknown brown tabby mix who is very feisty and independent and who loves to be outside but had never been on a harness or leash, LOVED it. Also great for car rides if you want added security! Our orange tabby struts his stuff and shows off when he has his on.All in all, they best we've found.I just don't understand the poor reviews!

Best for walking, but a few adjustments would make it better.
The media could not be loaded. I started walking my kitten with this and now he is on the mid-size. He has been in training for walking from so early on that he walks almost as good as a dog. We walk around a mile a day and are slowly increasing that.It is probably the best harness for WALKING a cat on the market. Not staking them out in the yard, and not leaving them unattended. With that said though, there are a few things that could really be improved. First, I added a little adjustable thing to the wrist strap so I can adjust it to hold on my wrist even if I have to let go of the leash for a moment. Second, I added a loop to the wrist strap area to clip a treat bag with tiny water dish. Also, the belly straps can slide too loose over time and I kept having to tighten them back down until I finally wrapped a rubber band tightly around that section over and over to keep it from sliding loose.Like other reviews, I also find the silly rubber thing slides around much too easily and is pretty useless. I wish they used some kind of pinch lock type thing to hold it in place instead. And the biggest thing is, when my kitty gets stubborn and has to be tugged a lot (which he does about 50 feet on each walk at random points), it can pull out little tufts of fur on his shoulders where the straps tighten up. Since my cat is very used to the harness and doesn't try to get out, I have sewn a metal loop in between the loops it has to stop it just shy of tight and pulling fur. It would be very nice if there was some way to have a pin-through adjustable thing for this.... or some kind of softer straps that would slip easily and not catch on his fur.

He didn't like it, but I immediately put down some food
A few bucks more than the other similar harnesses, but definitely worth it! I bought a different harness that was straps (not the jacket/vest kind) and put it on my cat. He didn't like it, but I immediately put down some food, which he loves. The problem? As he leaned his head forward to eat, the strap of the harness that ran across his chest would cut into his neck. I kept on loosening it, but it didn't matter, it kept on choking/strangling him. Essentially, if he sat up he was fine, but if he leaned forward it would cut into his neck. This was a serious problem, as I planned on using food to help acclimate him to the new harness. Then I looked at a lot of harnesses and found this one. It has a sort of V shape in the front, and doesn't cut into his neck when he eats. He is tolerating it inside the house. The down side is that the little plastic clips are tricky to clip/unclip. It definitely takes two hands, so in the beginning when he was struggling more it was difficult. (Now he sees the harness and purrs, because he knows harness=food, although he still has an odd posture when he wears it.) It definitely takes practice putting it on. Also, MEASURE your cat! Essentially, there is a sort of loop that goes around the cat's head. At the top of the loop (behind the head) is the little slider thing and clips, and then the bottom (the V) goes between the front legs, where it splits into 2 straps that go around the cat's body. The 2 straps clip into the little slider thing. The straps are adjustable to fit around your cat's chest, but the loop is NOT. The loop is one size. There is a plastic piece that can adjust where the V hits your cat's chest, but the loop itself is not adjustable, so you want to make sure that it is the right size.

Very Well Made and Easy to Adjust
I used this harness to train an 8 week old kitten. I was training the kitten for nursing home visits so he could provided therapy to the people who lived there. The harness fit very well and was easily adjustable. The kitten did not even pay attention to it after it was put on.

My cat slipped out of the harness.
My cat got out of this harness. I had it pretty tight, but something scared him and he flailed and squirmed and was on his back. Suddenly he was running away and I was holding an empty harness and he was nowhere to be seen.Like another poster said, you're going to have to practically strangle your cat to be safe, and even then it might not be tight enough. Luckily my story has a happy ending and he was hiding in my parking lot and ran out howling hysterically when I came over, but I got very, very lucky. A scared cat is ridiculously fast and you may never see yours again.

Secure harness when fitted correctly.
Wasn't sure how much success I'd have harness training a 4-year old Bengal cat, but she has taken to this without too much fuss. It's important to harness train cats in small steps to begin with...The cat will likely exhibit unusual behaviour at first, such as flopping on the ground or crawling on the floor or reversing in an effort to escape it, so make introductions short to begin with, no more than 5 minutes first time then all going well keep trying it each day gradually increasing the duration each time, making sure it's properly fastened and secure but allowing enough space to get two fingers under it so it's not too tight. The trick is to persevere and encourage the cat with treats and lots of petting and reassurance each time and try to engage them in play so that they develop a positive association with it.Within just a few days my cat was allowing me to put the harness on her without any fuss. After leaving the harness on her about an hour (during which time she mopped around in an apparent huff) I decided it was time to put the leash on her and take her into the garden. Once she had the outdoors to explore, along with me for security and reassurance, she took to it well and didnt try to escape. I have to say the leash that comes with the harness is also excellent, since the bungee prevents too much jarring or risk of injury if she bolts. A couple of times she did want to run, but mostly out of joy from having all the space to explore. The bungee leash was perfect for that, and once she's used to it, I will maybe switch to an extending chord leash to allow her to range a bit further while still staying safe.I'm confident after a few days training that I can now take her further afield and go on trips into the countryside without her freaking out and/or trying to escape. I was given the advice that tying a knot into the part of the harness where it fastens to a leash can help make it more difficult for the cat to escape, but I haven't found that I needed to do that. While this harness can be tricky to put on, requiring that it goes over the head then fastening on two sides, it is very secure once in position and adjusted to the right size for your cat. It should also be quicker to get used to than say a jacket harness, which may be easier to put on, but is also more restrictive. I'd previously tried a 'Voyager Step-In' jacket harness actually meant for small dogs, and she didnt take to it very well, freezing and flopping over almost as if she was having a seizure. I may work up to the jacket harness for certain outdoor conditions (winter for example), but the 'Come To Me Kitty' harness seems to be doing the job just fine, and compared to a jacket harness, it should quickly feel to the cat like it's not even there.Overall very happy with my purchase, and the cat seems happy too now that it's opened up a whole new world of outdoor adventures for her.

Would be a nice harness, but my cat escapes from it very easily
My cat (8lb Siberian) really enjoyed going for walks in this harness. This was the first harness I tried, and initially I liked it very much. The cat did not mind wearing the harness at all, and I was thrilled. However, the harness only works well if the cat pulls while walking forward. If the cat pulls while backing out, the harness comes off in less than a second. I checked and double-checked the adjustments, and I believe that this is a design flaw with this harness.

Possibly the best pet harness out there
Our (I would say small for an adult) 3 years old cat is definitely not used to wearing harnesses, but when we moved from our country house to a busy urban area we needed to make sure she still gets out without being hit by a car and that she doesn't get frightened by an unknown sound and run away. I spent ages researching the cat harnesses out there and this looked really good on paper (and by reviews). I have to say, it was worth every penny. The harness is of great quality and looks comfortable. Our cat obviously felt something was different :-), but never wanted to get rid of the thing which I found remarkable, since she really dislikes regular collars. When we went out for a walk and she tried to run away, it was saving me from heartbreak to not have to pull her back by choking her, the design of the harness combined with the bungee leash is fantastic from this point of view!!! The harness is perfectly adjustable and easy to put on. I highly recommend this product to anyone.

Love this
It’s loose so it doesn’t hurt my cat but it’s also nice and firm so she knows she can’t escape out of it. This is perfect for when we go out for her walk because she’s a very curious cat but becomes very timid and scared when she seeing ANYONE that doesn’t live in my house. So this harness is perfect for keeping her from running away and getting hurt.
