Dremel EZ407SA EZ Drum Sanding Band and Mandrel

This is not the first of these I have purchased because I love them. They are easier than the compressed rubber cylinder when replacing the sanding drum. Note of caution, if you are sanding aggressively at an angle the torque from the motor can "pop" the mandrel up while working. The value is good due to the time changing the drum being short. Fits all my dremel and other brand tools. They work great. The durability is good if you don't get too aggressive for long periods of time and overheat it repeatedly.

Big improvement over original Dremel mandrel. Much quicker to change drum bits.

I finally got tired of dealing with the traditional drum type mandrels and purchased one of these. What a difference! Super quick and easy to change. The only caveat is that the sanding drum can slip under heavy load but it is rare that you'll be using these that heavily. The convenience is well worth the money. Wish I'd have bought this sooner!

First, the good. It comes with a 1/2 inch sanding band on it. That worked great to sand out a twist on a magic wand. Usually, I go through several bands to do that, because they often fray and fall apart or simply fly off the end. This fits the 1/8 Dremel collet. However, this was a holy booger to pull up to change the band. I mean it was like when I was a teenager and the dentist had to muscle my wisdom teeth out of my jaws. Once it gets broken in, I think I will really like this over the dagnab little screws.

This is so much better than the old screw arbor. I was never able to get those drums all the way on. The one gripe I have about his one is that I wish the shaft was 1/2" longer. It's pretty stubby.

I love this bit when I am doing a lot of sanding as I am not having to find the small screw driver and fight the sanding bits on and off. This bit allows me to quickly change sanding disks as they wear out or I need a finer grit. It works extremely well and after several years of having this bit it is still one of the favorite ones I have found for the dremel. It also fits my micro motors and jewelers motors for doing more detailed work. After many many hours of use it is still holding up and working perfectly. Just the time it will save you is worth the money.

Bought this to upgrade from standard rubber expansion type. Makes changing bands quick and easy. No band slip evident.

Arrived as described. Works great and easy to change sanding band when worn out. It save a little bit of time overall.
