How do you clean this?

We understand your concern, but In practice it is not difficult to keep the inner glass surface of the pouring bowl clean. Coffee remains do not stain and easily dissolve again in water. Simply rinse with lukewarm water and a drop of soap, and you'll see it dissappears in seconds. You won't need a special brush or so. Allow the inner side of the bowl to dry by itself, and you'll see it will be squeaky clean (without any lime scale either). If by an odd accident some sticky substance would soil the inner side of the bowl, add for example some flakes of egg shell and rinse.

Do you sell spares for the cona size D. I need a jug as mine has broken

how would you use this on an induction hob

You cannot for the following reason: Glass is not ferromagnetic. An induction cooker transfers electrical energy by induction from a coil of wire into a metal vessel that must be ferromagnetic. ... The eddy currents flow through the electrical resistance of the pot to produce heat through Joule heating; the pot then in turn heats its contents by heat conduction. Provided you do not use the Cona stand at all, you can place the flat-bottomed lower bowl straight onto a ceramic electric stove, but we do not advice this. The smarter way to prepare 'slow-coffee' in a CONA fast, is to realize that nothings beats the speed of an electric kettle to water to the boil. Pour boiling water into the lower glass bowl, light the alcohol lamp, and the water starts to rise almost instantly. Can you use this on a gas hob?

Yes, you can as our Cona pouring bowl does have a flat bottom, but we do not recommend using a gas hob as a heat source to bring water to the boil. In 'them olden days' your granny would put a kettle on a hob, and direct her attention to something else, untill the whistle would beckon her back to the stove. In today's world an electric kettle or a smart hot water tap (such as a Quooker) will provide you with boiling water almost instantly. You can pour boiling water from it straight into our CONA lower bowl, as it is made from the finest heat-resistant flame-proof laboratory quality glass.
