Jacobs Crackers, Cream, 7.05-Ounce (Pack of 12)

Cream crackers were my favorite since I was 3 years old; I grew up on a small ranch until 22yo, in Brazil, and I wasn't into bread until an adult age! Normally in those young days, my family and I preferred Cream Crackers, and it was my anytime snack along with a slice of either homemade guava, banana, or fig paste and a huge slice of our fresh goat cheese; or at breakfast, some cracked pieces over my scrambled eggs and a glass of fresh goat milk to wash it all down! School lunches were Cream Crackers sandwiches with any kind of thick meat + goat cheese slices! Now, in my 70's I'm glad to be able to find "Jacob's Cream Crackers" on Amazon (+ fig jam or guava paste + tea, it builds my blast into the past...anytime!)

They were fresh. The taste is as would be expected, wonderful and bland. These are my favorite to have with some slices of cheese. They are great value for the cost. Sometimes they break and crumble in shipping but nothing catastrophic.

UPDATE: I reviewed the crackers before I opened the package. The ARE my favorite crackers, however this shipment was AWFUL! The first pack was stale and had a faint mildew scent. I thought it might just be a pad pack but I have opened almost all of them in hopes of finding at least one pack I can eat and they are all like this. I imagine they have been sitting in some warehouse forever because these are sturdy crackers that I can easily leave open on the counter all day and they don't taste stale. This was a MAJOR disappointment as I had planned to use them for my New Years Eve party spread. _____________________________________ ORIGINAL REVIEW (of product as it should be): This is an absolute rave review for a product that I have loved for years. These crackers are my absolute favorite. I discovered them traveling overseas probably 30 years ago and I have never found another cracker that I like as much. They are hearty, and hold up to all sorts of toppings. They're very flaky and dense with a subtle mild flavor that doesn't interfere with anything you put on it. It's great for sweet or savory toppings and it's excellent for dips or just by itself for quick snack. They're not salty, just an FYI. It's reminiscent of a flour tortilla flavor but much different texture of course. It's mild like that, very little flavor of its own other than a delicate bready kind of flavor. Try them!

Best crackers ever. Great for people with dietary limitations.

These are nice, sturdy crackers for dips and cheese. They are not buttery and don’t have salt on top. They are just a plain, square cracker.

This is a fantastic cracker. Great for cheese and salty meats. It's a little low in salt to be satisfying by itself. Very sturdy and won't disintegrate when spreading the thickest port wine cheeses. A good substitute for red oval farms stoned wheat thins (my favorite cracker before the recipe change years ago). Decent price too.

Not fragile, not salty, just right for breaking up into soup.
