I bought this item to repair a split in a pair of trousers. It was a very good colour match and very easy to apply. However, when I came to wash the pair of trousers, the tape started to lift off and so I had to reapply a new length to repair the split again.

Was easy to use did great job

Bought this to mend a rip in a cotton shirt. The instructions are useless - 'iron on a medium heat' - doesn't tell you for how long, or whether to have the steam on or off. I opted to press it for 30 seconds, no steam, on the cotton setting on my iron, since I've previously used a different brand of this type of product and those were the instructions for that. It did initially seem to stick although I wasnt impressed by the appearance. The tape is a cream colour and it clearly showed through my white shirt. Before application the strip was pliable, but it became stiff and rigid after ironing so the fabric of the shirt didn't hang properly. But the biggest issue is that it fell off after the first wash. Not just lifting a bit at the edges - it literally fell right off in the washing machine on a 40 degree quick wash. Absolute rubbish, total waste of money, wish I'd looked more closely at the reviews before purchasing Due to the unacceptable performance of this product I will be returning it for a refund

This is a useful mending tape and I have purchased before. I would prefer something a little 'finer' but this is perfectly adequate for repairing small splits in fabrics and for minor reinforcement. It is very easy to use and stays in place once ironed on.

This arrived promptly enough. Bought it to mend some light coloured shorts in fine material and thought this was just the job. Set to work with the iron (after reading the instructions) Whilst some of the tape adhered parts of it just didn't! If it had worked it would have done the job perfectly. Just to make sure I tried it on a second rip in the shorts, but nope same problem, It stuck in some places and not in others. Note that the shorts were freshly washed and completely dry. I don't think this is a problem of old stock being past it's useful life as I have used this before and remember it didn't stick that well. I thought then it was probably just a dodgy batch of tape. Apparently not. Won't bother with this brand again. Shame because their heavier patches (denim) work really well. Two stars are for prompt deliver and good match to clothes needing repair.
