Novogratz Owen 4 Drawer Dresser, Black

I'm not one to normally write reviews but I needed to on this. I want to preface that Amazon customer service did help rectify the situation. This wasn't an amazon problem to begin with necessarily. For starters, the packaging was actually fine. Once unboxing it though I started to notice little things here and there and the quality. I also simply figured that a damp cloth would be able to wipe away the marks on the panels. As I slowly started to assemble the dresser, I noticed the quality getting worse. All of the outward facing edges of the drawers and side panels were in terrible shape. One panel had significant scratches and marks imbedded into the composite wood that would not wipe away in the slightest. Thankfully I was able to hide that panel by placing the dresser in the corner where that panel was hidden by a wall. The drawer handles were just a painted brass/gold/bronze'ish color. Looked more like a poop mustard if I'm going to be honest. Last, the drawers you would think would be a bit deeper. When I put the first completed drawer into the dresser, there was 3-4" of just dead space behind the drawer. This dresser would have actually looked a lot nicer if it were that 3-4" slimmer, or if the drawers had the appropriate depth and would hold more. All said and done, I would stay clear of this. Pictures look great, but in actuality it is not. I originally wanted the Malm 4 drawer chest from Ikea for $130, but it was out of stock. I thought this would be a good alternative, especially with the accents of the handles. At near double the price, I was horribly wrong. I'll likely end up ordering the Ikea one when it happens to come back in stock and just give this to someone in need.

Very happy with this dresser. Glad the description said it was a level high of difficulty to assemble. I had my brother help me so it went smoothly with two people. Took about 3 hours to assemble.

Overpriced. Flimsy drawers. my mind is completely blown that the legs and drawer knobs are actually real metal. They're the best part. everything is fake particle board despite the +$200 price tag for such a small(ish) piece of furniture It does hold clothes and it does in fact look nice, once you find a way to brush off all of the dust and debris from the wood. (Seriously, why is it dusty?) This furniture wont last very long, but here's a good tip for anyone who wants to buy this anyway despite all of the raving reviews it received: Use a wood glue on the inside and outside corners of the drawers to hold the flimsy bottom in place. You'll probably double the lifespan of this thing if you do.

Love the style but it came absolutely filthy, with severe Knicks and scratches. It's cheap feeling and I feel I could have gotten better quality at IKEA for the same price. Lesson learned.

The dresser didn’t come with any assembly information, and took hours to put together. It also had a lot of scratches on it. It is a really nice dresser

It’s unbelievable how much time it takes to put this dresser together (and I was quick and I’m great at this sort of thing) and how it’s the most low quality thing on the internet. I could have bought a better one at Walmart. It’s so cheap and so flimsy. Hard pass. Going back to vintage or even Target.

Very cheap material. The dresser is not made out of real wood so it’s extremely heavy. It’s not too bad to put together but very very cheap material. Honestly not worth your money, I definitely do regret buying it. Would return but it’s wayyyy to heavy for its size. As I was screwing it together the parts would chip off.

It’s cute but not worth it. Not very sturdy. Wood came chipped.
