It's plastic, not metal and the doors do open but it's kind of wonky. I bought it as a gag gift for my son's 16th birthday. He doesn't care for it but I love driving it around the house and my 2yr old lives using it for her dolls. Fyi, if you wanted to do that too.. it only fits like really little dolls not even the mini barbies.. but like super small action figures. The lights light up when you're actually driving and the the remote is really simple and straightforward for easy handling.. forward, backwards, right and left and they can be combined to make turns.

Shipping was fast. The car came in the frequency I ordered. Interior detail is nice and the exterior detail is good. Additionally, the signal with this car is very good. The one thing I did notice is the stripes on the roof are slightly off. It doesn't bother me much though. I've ordered a few rastar cars and this one is my favorite. It takes 5 AA for the car and 2 AA for the controller.

There is no speed control, it's all or nothing and to stop you have to hit reverse. Given the price, this is what you get. It is a usable toy.

This model car is so fun! Runs great with lights and all. A real nice surprise for the price!

The detail on this car was outstanding, just as with the other 1/14 scale Rastar cars my son has. Functionality is very good and smooth. We did have a minor issue with a mirror falling off, but a little super glue and it's good as new. We continue to be amazed at the value.

This is a great toy, very detailed and accurately reproduced. It also goes really fast which is both good and bad as its speed can make it hard to control. Its also quite large, just over a foot long in length and has a large turning radius, which means you need a really open (30 ft x 10ft) area to play with it. My outdoor patio was just big enough, and we had a lot of fun. On the downside being anatomically correct means it has no bumper, and it crashes really hard at high speed into your furniture and walls, so you can end up damaging it. The controller also seems to lose control sometimes, it gets locked in forward so hitting reverse several times is the only way to make it change direction, and it will randomly do that almost like it gets stuck or lost the signal. After an hour the brand new batteries started to wear down, which actually made it easier to drive. Overall its a great toy for a child but be prepared for a lot of crashing and lots of batteries....

The product is costly...on amazon.com it is for around 42$...but on on amzon in around 128$ So it overtly priced Detailing is good..but plastic looks decent...running parts a of the model are nice I purchased it as a show piece....and i still wish the plastic quality of the interiors and their detailing justified the price.
