As stated, bottle cutting takes practice to get right. A lot of practice. This bottle cutter is very effective at scoring bottles. However it is not the best choice for the amateur bottle cutter. You have to get a feeling for how to cut bottles to use this bottle cutter effectively. If you are new to bottle cutting or are just looking to cut a few bottles for decoration I recommend a different bottle cutter that can support the bottle better and make consistent cuts relying less on user skill. As I said, this is an effective bottle cutter, jut not the best choice for a beginner.

The cutter is pretty easy to use and I was fairly successful on the first try. The instructions were clear and helpful. However, both of the rubber bands that came with the cutter broke. One broke after the third bottle and the second one broke after the sixth or seventh bottle. The cutter still works, but the bands are supposed to be the "magic" of a clean cut. A little disappointing that they don't hang in there.

it is very easy to manipulate love it! Good quality. all that they say they are and more!! Handy little device. I highly recommend and at such a great valued price. Not the quality I was looking for.
