PM50se Headphone Personal Amplifier

Product works great as it should.

I initially purchased a Behringer Powerplay P1 Personal In-ear Monitor Amplifier, however the Amazon listing didn't mention that it requires line-level XLR input, not mic-level XLR. I then tried the Behringer P2 Ultra-Compact Personal In-Ear Monitor Amplifier, but it had terrible static (just touching the XLR cable increased the static). I then tried the Coda Music Tech Personal in-Ear Monitor System which seems similar to the Rolls PM50se (except it can be powered using either a 9V batter and DC transformer--not included). It was decent but the volume was low. AND THEN I BOUGHT A ROLLS PM50se! OMG! The audio is crystal clear (much better than the Coda), the volume is loud (20% or 30% on the Rolls is similar to 100% on the Coda), it allows a second input (via a 1/4" jack), it supports mic-level OR line-level input, it has a pass-through for the XLR which (in my application) avoids the need for an XLR Y-splitter, it includes the power supply, it allows you to control the ground lift, and on and on. This is the one for me.

Clear sound I would recommend this headphone amp the best I’ve used.

Loud. Great mix. Easy to pull mix off the board or a monitor. Loud and great power!! Replaced my old Samson from Sam Ash. Smaller and just as powerful. Cheap way to use in ears and THAT is a game changer.

This is my 3rd purchase. Visiting singers like it so much they want to take it with them. It is not listed in spec but it does pass through Phantom power so you can use dynamic or condenser mics with this.

Great quality made in USA unit. Built like a tank and sounds perfect And clear. Highly recommend

Opened the box and connected all cables and power supply only to not power on and work. I tried other power supplies with same results.

The Rolls PM50se Headphone Personal Amplifier came well packed and works as advertised. I am very happy with it so far.

Excellent solution to monitoring vocals and a backing track

Used this little wonder box for the first time on a gig in Andover last night and worked a treat. I’m a trumpet player and wanted to go completely wireless. So, wireless receiver from the mic into the back of the unit and straight back out to the desk, then band mix fed into the back, and finally, a cable out the front to my wireless in-ears box. Being able to balance the feed from my mic and the band mix was really helpful. Only knocked off a star because it was shipped from the US and came with a US plug, so needed an adapter for the UK. If shipping to the UK, it wouldn’t take much to have a supply of UK specific power adapters? That said, it’s a great unit and bullet proof! :-)
