This cool mist humidifier has been effective for my plants.! It is not a silent humidifier but the quite sound of it is not intrusive by any means. I Love the 4 hr, 8 hr and 12 hr timer settings as well! I turn it on to run at night in order to maintain the proper humidity level that my plants need. I could run it during the day but after trying that I found that the automatic shutoff freaked my dog out, LOL! Excellent price, great size and over all excellent cool mist humidifier that fits my needs perfectly!

I was slightly apprehensive about buying this humidifier because of some negative comments, but I am happy with my purchase. Some reviews said that it was too bright and too loud, but that is not true (in my opinion). Humidifiers make noise, and this one is equivalent to white noise. While sleeping, we turn off the changing color wheel and it is not even close to bright in our bedroom- and I need a dark room to get to sleep. They are small, so I have to fill it almost everyday, but they are super lightweight and easy to handle. Some humidifiers are heavy and water goes everywhere, but this one is not messy. If you don’t mind a small humidifier, I would recommend this one.

I’ve had this product for years, it’s good quality and mist is not overpowering. Use it for my kids room they like the colors. It does get pink moldy gunk so you gotta clean it every few weeks

Pros: * Small footprint, neat, tidy and inconspicuous. * We love that it’s compact, while putting out enough mist and holding enough water to do so all night long. That was the deciding factor and I’m still pleased with my purchase for that reason (despite the complaining below). * Easy to fill (transport the compact tank to a sink) * Well designed overall, extra oil pads, oil tray is a cool idea * Doesn’t need to be kept on a towel, as our previous humidifiers have. Cons: * The power indicator light is far too bright, and there’s no option to bypass it. C’mon! You’re smart enough to build a ‘cold steam’ humidifier, have a high quality oil pad tray system to avoid damaging the plastics, but you can’t figure out that many people like to sleep in the pitch dark? And sleep science has now proven that pitch dark is the best? You MUST include an option for it to run with ZERO lights. * Seems loud-ish—though to be fair—it’s a very pleasant white noise (one stop shop if you need a fan/noise machine to sleep)! But despite being a peace loving, mild mannered guy (questionable with the all caps above) my innate protective husband/dad instincts dislike not being able to hear and decipher random noises in the house at night. I didn’t realize how much my subconscious does this while I’m sleeping, but i seem to wake up more often from vaguely hearing something and needing to turn off the machine to confirm it’s not a sabre tooth tiger or fat Freddy Flintstone coming to steal the last smoked mammoth rib. * When it’s out of water, i would normally just turn it off in the morning. But it just sits there with the red “out of water” light on instead of powering off, and won’t allow you to turn it off (you have to unplug it). Maybe that could be good for reminding you to drain the base and air out the tank when not in use (because mold). But it’s still a bit unusual.

The Homedics Total Comfort Humidifier is a fantastic addition to my toddler's room. Its compact size fits perfectly without taking up too much space. Despite its size, it has great output, effectively humidifying the room. I've noticed that it helped my son recover quicker from colds. Homedics consistently makes good products, and this humidifier is no exception. Highly recommended!

I am really happy with this product!!! Homedics always delivers! This humidifier doesn't take up a ton of space, definitely humidifies the room-about 10x14. The changing colors are very cute. I can feel the difference when it is on. Easy to clean! I never use tap water/the Timer option is great! The brightness is perfect! Easy to function/great price for me!

All is perfect, except for the noise level. Not saying that it's extremely loud (white noise I guess), but if you are a really light sleeper like myself...you might be annoyed. I now have it in my living room, and I don't hear it at all...even with the television, or music playing from my Echo Dot. The red light to clean the filter has come on a few times. To clean the filter use a vinegar, and water solution, and a few cotton swabs. Afterwards push/hold the reset button (the button under the red light) for 3-5 seconds to turn it off. Haven't cleaned the unit thoroughly at this point...so I can't give any feedback on how hard/easy it is to do that. The 25 hour run time is accurate, but you may notice lower run times depending on the water that you use. I don't use the lights at all...so I can't comment on that. However, It might give you a relaxing feeling while watching television...etc. Overall it's a good little unit, and it does what it's supposed to do. I still gave it a 5 star rating because even though it might be a little bit loud for very light sleepers like myself, others probably won't mind it at all. If you are using it in other areas...you won't even notice/hear it.

The size, ease of use, and almost completely silent operation make this a great humidifier. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because, even with the charcoal capsules, this humidifier gets a build-up of minerals and worse inside - and due to the design, it's extremely difficult to clean. Disappointing - because otherwise, this humidifier works great.

Petit élégant efficace et sans bruit... Pour une pièce de grandeur moyenne il est excellent. Bon humidificateur, bon achat à un prix très abordable.. de plus avec son éclairage de belles couleurs qui déroulent (si désiré) ..zen...

Me gustó que no hace ruido, el nivel de vapor es muy bueno, lo uso para generar un ambiente menos seco en la habitación en esta época de calor tan intensa.

J'ai enlevé une étoile, car la cartouche demineralisante n'est pas efficace pour la prolifération bactérienne. J'ai renouvelé mes cartouches avec celles de même forme, mais du autre marque et qui contiennent des granules de céramique. Elles sont très efficaces.
