Xbox 360 Chrome Series Limited Edition Wireless Controller - Red

So I happen to love the color red. This chrome red controller is awesome. The only thing I am a little ticked about is that the bottom half of the shell is black and not the same red crome as the top half. Thats ok because I will be swapping out some pieces to make myself an iron man controller real soon. Red Chrome and gold with blue guide button lights. I can't wait to get all my parts. This thing looks great as is out of the box but and has a wonderful smooth feel on the top half of the controller shell. It linked up to xbox quickly and works like a charm.

I purchased this item and almost sent it back because I have never owned an xbox and no where in the instructions with the controller or the xbox tells you the instructions on syncing it. I was in the process of sending it back because I thought it was broken. I happened into a gaming store and was instructed on how to sync it plus I used Youtube..It now works great and feels great in my hand. I love the Red Chrome color.....They do need to add in the enclosed paperwork how to sync it to the xbox for the people that aren't familiar with that console.....Thanks Carol K

What's to say - it's red...shiny....and controls my Xbox as intended.In all seriousness, it is a nice controller - seems to be shaped like the smaller black controllers but closer in size to the larger white ones (I have both). The adjustable D-pad is a neat feature although I haven't used it extensively with the games I'm currently playing.Yes the chrome will show fingerprints if you're OCD about that (I'm not) and while I knew prior to purchase that the red color was not on the bottom side, it would have been nice to have some on maybe the middle, non-grip parts. A little bit of a cut corner for a high-end OEM item but not a deal-breaker.It gets four stars because after a few months, one side of the chrome has developed a dull texture, almost like the chrome is deteriorating. It won't wash off or rub/buff smooth either. As an adult, I take care of things and this is "my" controller and my kids use the other ones so I can't atttribute this to any sort of mistreatment.

This has a different feel to it than some of the Xbox 360 controllers. This one feels slick on top compared to the other controllers. The top is red and the bottom of it is black and the bottom has the feel of the original black controllers. All the buttons and pads work good on it. Two batteries are included with the controller. When I ordered it I wondered if I was going to end up being disappointed but since I've received it, I'm glad I did order it.Seems to be put together well and functions as well as any of the other controllers.If any issues do occur, I will leave an update to this review.

I bought this for the transforming d-pad, which is great but I was underwhelmed slightly by it. I watched the press release for these a while back and they described d-pads with two styles, platter like the standard xbox 360 controller and some other name for the other style which only lets you press in four directions requiring explicit presses of two directions for diagonal. I thought "Wow, just what I wanted for steam retro games that I play". Okay. That sounds like a commercial but I did think it was novel. When I actually tried the transforming action I just noticed the d-pad becomes raised away from the disc outer part of the d-pad and thought it was scammy. So when actually trying it, the two different modes offer the standard "platter style" and a modified platter style, there is a tactile difference between them but the other mode doesn't prevent pressing the corner just helps to make it more difficult to accidentally press multiple directions when pressing multiple directions isn't wanted. Small win, the color is amazing and I needed a fourth controller anyway.

The appearance is A-1, the function is generally good, but after a few hours use the left stick feels quite gritty, it seems to wear away around the base of the stick when it rubs the collar molded into the top, not sure if the chrome accelerated the damage. Otherwise great, and my wife loved it for Mother's day.

#1. It's overpriced, you can buy the same thing from Microsoft for $55..#2. The left joystick will continue to pull to the left, even after my thumb is lifted off..#3. No customer service or support, they won't replace or refund. AVOID THIS SELLER..I'm 30 and have spent lots of money on my xbox hobby. I take care of my stuff. I am not abusive to my gaming equipment. It's ridiculous for a seller to shut their customer out, but they did it too me..I am furious with WorldWide Distributors..

I've only had this a short time so who knows durability. The finish is very good, the feel of the joysticks, both the toggle ends and mechanical feel are very good. Unlike my white microsoftcontroller, my mic does not feedback when others talk. Looking at a number of custom controllers I noticed one thing. What makes them look like toys, what makes them look cheap, are the rainbow colored letter buttons. Once I get comfortable taking apart older controllers, I'll be replacing these.
