Awesome replacement of top part in just five minutes. It seems Citroen keyfob buttons were only made to last 10 years, had the same issue with a Picasso and a C1 the buttons just wear through. Made the mistake on my Picasso of leaving it too long, then the switch broke off the circuit board and it was too late, but learnt from that and replaced the casing for the C1 as soon as I saw the button had worn. The best part of this is that the top part of the case fits the original key fob perfectly, so I only had to replace that top part and keep the original base with the Citroen logo and the small black strip for the immobiliser. Handy tip, if you do replace both sides DO NOT throw away the old base until you have transferred that small black strip to the new base because I believe you need that for the car to start! But fortunately, as I said, I was able to keep the old base and just replace the top so happy days. Only one minor issue, the screw on the original was fine thread whereas the replacement was coarse thread, the new screw did not seem a great fit so I just used the original screw and gave it a good tighten, just enough to cut a thread in the top so it was flush with the surface but not too much to overtighten and strip the thread. If your buttons have worn, do yourself a favour, spend a few quid on one of these and replace the top now, don’t wait, believe me, it’s very easy to just replace the top and it will save you a lot of hassle in the future if you leave it too long and the switch breaks underneath.

I bought 2 cases and replaced both my worn out key fob cases. I watched a few YouTube videos to see how easy it would be to change them so was prewarned about remembering the all important, but easily missed transponder!! Without it the remote will not work. You need a small phillips screwdriver to undo the one screw, a flat screwdriver to prise the old case apart from the split ring end, and something like a large needle or tweezers to ease the transponder out from its little compartment near the blade end (don't drop it and loose it). The circuit board/battery simply pulls off its pegs and fits neatly into the new case. Everything is shaped so it can only fit one way round. No soldering needed. I changed both keys at once and there was some difference between them as to how easy they were to fasten back together and how secure the transponder sat in its partition, but it did not take long and both work perfectly. Such a joy to have the remote buttons working properly again - just like new. It might be an idea to change the button cell battery while you are at it.

I have used one of these replacement kits for my Picasso before - and they're worth it! Far cheaper than the official product. Replacement is simple but you face a choice; To use the kit complete which means paying to have the fitted blade cut at a shop, or clap half of the shell to the top half of your existing shell which has the Citroen logo. This means 5 minutes work with a scalpel but saves the cost of key-cutting & you get to keep your logo. I chose the second option (because I'm cheap). Either way you have a heck of a saving compared to being robbed by the 'professionals'.

Worked perfect to repair my broken key, one important factor against other brands is that the buttons are flexible and easy to press, I previously got one for the same price off eBay and the buttons were so hard they hurt your fingers, easy to transfer the circuit board over, an important point to watch out for is the chip that talks to your imobaliser is in the back part of your old key and needs transferring as well or your key won’t start the engine, some people just use the front part of the key when the old buttons are broken and use the back of the old key which fits perfectly and the chip need not be moved just the board, an excellent purchase.

Worked great for my report key replacement. However, please don't forget the tiny immobiliser chip. I initially forgot it and no amount of turning the key would start up the car. Once I transferred over immobiliser chip, the key worked great.

I brought this to replace my broken car key shall it was perfect fit but the thing from circuit board was missing which connect with the button.

This was bought to replace the plastic shell of a Peugeot 107 key fob up that had worn through on one of the buttons. The circuit board and blade transferred over with no problems, and the new fob feels quite solid. The plastic seems to be of quite decent quality, and it doesn’t feel like it’s going to wear out any time soon. I would advise anybody with a worn out fob to get this replacement shell. , once the buttons wear through, it’s only a matter of time before the components inside get damaged, and these shells are a lot cheaper than a whole new replacement key...

My Toyota Aygo remote key was starting to fail through use - the unlock flexible button on the black plastic cover had split. I assumed I would have to get a replacement (expensive) key from Toyota, but found this replacement cover and thought it was worth a try. It arrived quickly was easy to fit and just as good as the original. The circuit board and metal key were easy to transfer from the old cover top the new. Definitely a success!

Acheter pour remplacer la coque de clé d origine d une Peugeot 107 dont le bouton d ouverture/fermeture été usé et décoller de la coque ce qui rendait la manipulation de boutons impossible. Lors de l' achat et à la réception j' étais parti pour changer l intégralité de la coque c est à dire la partie où ce trouve les boutons et l partie où ce trouve le logo et le transpondeur et dont cette partie où ce trouve le logo n' avais aucun problème. Et enfaite il ne m'a pas été utile de tout changer, mais juste la partie des boutons car ce haut de coque s adapte parfaitement dans mon cas au reste de la coque d origine ce qui à permis de garder la partie avec le logo du véhicule et la vis d origine car la vis vendue avec cette coque n'a pas le même pas de vis que celle d origine donc pas possible de la remplacer sans endommagé la coque d origine (partie coque du logo). Pour le remplacement rien de plus simple il suffit de dévisser la vis de la coque d origine côté logo de la clé (attention de ne pas perdre la vis si vous ne changez comme moi que la partie haute de boutons), faire levier avec un petit tournevis plat sur la côte prévu à cet effet( côté perforation pour le passage anneau du porte clé), retirer délicatement en s'éclipsent la partie haute, retirer de ces ergots le circuit imprimé de la télécommande d ourture fermeture de porte, Perso j' en ai profité pour changer la pile de la télécommande pour ma part c été un pile bouton 2016, (attention de ne pas rayé ou mouillé le circuit imprimé cela liquide l' endommagé et de le rendre inutilisable), ensuite il suffit de replacer le circuit imprimé de la télécommande dans ces ergots et de reclipser le haut de télécommande sur la partie d origine puis de revisser la vis d origine. Et le tour est joué. Pour ce qui qui doivent changer toute la télécommande pensé à récupérer le transpondeur sur la partie intérieure de la coque avec logo ( c'est une petite pièce noire en forme de rectangle un peu déformé) et de le réinstaller sur la nouvelle coque un emplacement est prévu à cet effet dans la même forme que le transpondeur. Sans ce transpondeur votre véhicule refusera de redémarrer car il ne pourra reconnaître votre clé. Pour la lame de la clé rien de plus simple il suffit de tirer dessus pour la retirer et la réinsérer dans la nouvelle coque. La coque acheter à l' air de bonne qualité, le plastique à l' air aussi solide que la coque d origine. Arrivée rapidement et bien emballé. Perso pour être sûr que la coque clé dure plus dans le temps j' ai acheté sur Amazon une coque silicone qui vient par dessus la coque de la clé limitant ainsi l'usure possible des boutons tout en donnant le look différents et personnalisé. En tout cas je recommande cette coque de remplacement.

In dem Originalschlüssel befindet sich ein winziges, rechteckiges, schwarzes, lösbares Teil. Dabei handelt es sich um die Wegfahrsperre, von der ich nicht wusste, dass mein kleiner Flitzer sie hat. Zum Glück hatte ich das Originalteil nicht entsorgt, sodass wir dieses Miniteilchen noch einfügen konnten, als wir den ADAC gerufen hatten, da das Auto nicht anspringen wollte. Nun benutze ich den Schlüssel schon einige Monate und bin sehr zufrieden.
