Oh my God what a piece of crap! I'm familiar with dash cams, I have one in every vehicle. I saw this at the local Wholesale Club and thought it looked pretty decent with a recognizable brand name. Boy was I mistaken! Here's the gist of it. 1 will not stick to the windshield, falls off 30 seconds after I put it on no many no matter how many times I clean the cup and glass. The camera that I had up there was mounted for a solid year and never fell off once ....and it was only 10 bucks.! 2. None of the function keys did anything. The only thing I managed to get the function keys to do was the zoom in and out function... it didn't even say it did that in the instructions 3. Supposed to be able to go between split screen and full screen. No instructions on how to do that. 4. One of the other reviewers mentioned that it just shuts off by itself and starts back up. Ridiculous! what's the point in having a dash cam if it's shutting off on you? Shame on you Whistler for attaching your name to this piece of junk! Made in China, I should have known that this thing was going to be no good as soon as I saw that on the package. AVOID THIS CAM!!

Once programed, works as expected. Other negative reviews were from people that just did not take the time to go over the instructions. Very happy with this dash cam!

this product was advertised as though you could see the back rear area. But when installed you could not. The reason for purchasing this camera was to view a hookup item. When requesting to return the item it was denied.

I got my from local warehouse store and to make this story short: - Cheap made. - Quality is bad: License plates are not readable. - Power is looping On-Off and annoying. Has almost no options, modern dashcam should have. Very basic like 10 years old Chinese dashcam. (Firmware 1.0 installed) Goes back to store.

I had bought this dashcam from a different vender than Amazon, however still a reputable company. I had bought this because I had wanted a second dashcam for backup as well as to have it facing the rear of the vehicle. The controls are hard to use and navigate, even with instructions in hand. The time and date, as well as any other setting resets every time you turn on the car; which is not convenient to have to spend 5-10 minutes to reset everything. Also, the camera turns on and off every 15-30 seconds for a moment or two before turning on again; I checked the connections and everything was fine so I'm not sure what the issue is. I have not viewed the micro SD so I can't say much for the quality of the videos. As far as the camera itself, it is lightweight but appears sturdy and the suction cup mount is strong. I am not new to dashcams, and this one falls short of expectations. Needless to say I will be returning it and purchasing a different cam.
