This really seems to do the trick for me to get me to go back to sleep without making me groggy in the morning. I sleep with it next to my bed if I wake up early and can't go back to sleep.

I have bursitis and sometimes it flares up so bad that I need prescription medication to bring the swelling down and relax the surrounding muscle so it can heal and not tear up my joint. You would be shocked to hear it's nearly impossible for me to get this medication through a hospital, even though it's regularly prescribed by my primary. It's really basic: anti-inflammatory and Flexaril. The problem is the Flexaril... which everyone wants to treat like a narcotic because it's a muscle relaxer, even though it most certainly is NOT a narcotic. So I've been left to my own devices. Valerian Root helps, but it's just not strong enough. Skullcap though is like Valerian Root on steroids. I take two at night - even one pill is too much in the daytime to stay alert - and it relaxes my shoulder JUST AS WELL as an overnight dose of Flexaril. Taken with turmeric and a little Tylenol, my joint recovers fully in THREE DAYS, just like it does on prescription medications!

I have tried everything there is, and this is the only product that actually helps me get to sleep. After years of insomnia and one doctor after another refusing to prescribe sleeping pills because they 'can be' addictive, I have tried every herb, tea, OTC pills, meditation, music, etc. I could find. This was the one that finally worked. If you take too many you can have weird dreams, kind of like with melatonin but not so extreme. Might not work for everyone, but it does for me.

I have completed my first entire bottle of skull cap 800 mg taking twice a day and I have to say I didn't notice any difference when I started taking it and now that I have stopped taking it for a couple days, I haven't noticed any difference, so I won't be ordering it again.

This product and this brand have proven to be long term effective for me. I have used products that make similar health claims and this one is better than many othersI've tried.
