This product works excellent as a water repellent on all types of fabrics. I spray it on my golf shoes which were listed as “water resistant” and it makes them water proof !! I’ve used it on lightweight jackets as well and it works perfectly. Although it has a strong odor when using (spray outdoors) it dries quickly and the smell goes away quickly as well.

Truly Waterproof — Best Scotchgard Yet! I just discovered this heavy-duty version of Scotchgard, and it’s amazing. It makes fabric completely waterproof! I sprayed it on my cream patio cushions, and after it rains, water just beads and rolls right off — nothing soaks in. It also repels dirt and stains like magic. Even wine and mustard wipe right off with a damp cloth. I used to cover my furniture every time it rained, but now I don’t bother — my cushions still look brand new. Super easy to apply too: just spray and let dry. One can covered about four large cushions (though I probably over-applied a bit since I tend to be heavy-handed If you want real waterproofing for patio furniture or outdoor gear, this is the one to buy!

Works well on coats, hats and shoes to keep them dry. However, it will wear off after awhile.

I bought a cheap daypack that some customers had complained of not being waterproof. I sprayed this scotch spray protectant on it—saturating the outer fabric instead of following the instructions to use a light and even spray. The spray did turn the fabric darker even after drying out overnight. After 24 hours, there was still a chemical smell upon close sniffing. However, the waterproofing effect was very apparent as seen in the video. I splashed water on the fabric, and it just immediately beaded up and rolled off. I even tried to let some water pool on the treated fabric, but the water didn’t penetrate: it just rolled off when the daypack was held vertically. i van see lptscof uses for thus spray… not for clothing, but fine for a backpack or tarp or the outside of a a tent—if you give enough time for the smell to dry off. great stuff!!!

The BEST by far. I’ve tried other brands Amazon sells this is by far the BEST. Great quality,spray ability,appearance and value.

Good product, constantly need to spray 2 - 3 months to keep repellent on the surface. My is a tent.
