i had this book before and my puppy ate it, LOL...i'm fine tuning my female catahoula pup for SAR (recovery) last winter was brutal, could not do too much outside in the -30 degree weather & lots of snow..she was very young so we worked inside..last spring she was finding mushrooms & sheds easily..this winter we're working on tracking, trailing..all the books from this author are fantastic & the reason i finally, after almost 20 yrs. brought home a couple well bred catahoula pups when the time was right.

I was interested in finding information regarding the training of my young female bloodhound and the techniques involved in doing it correctly. So far, so good. Easy reading, good explanations of techniques. Lots of repetitious work-well worth it.

Fantastic book on tracking. Straight-forward and easy to read. No unnecessary fluff. Definitely the guide you need to get you and your dog started immediately.
