Love the new improvements
I've had larger Furminator Deshedding brushes in the past (which I still have because they last forever) but needed a really small one for our new 6 lb dog. I loved the old ones, but have to say the new improvements they've made are great. The teeth of the brush can be sharp so the new protective cover that is part of the brush and NOT a separate piece is very helpful and a smart design. The best new feature though is the button to release the hair...it's awesome and makes things so much easier. The protective guards on the sides of the teeth are nice and helpful in protecting the dog's skin. I don't know of a brush that sits so well in the hand, is so easy to use and absolutely gets the job done. Cuts down the shedding considerably and better than any other brush I've ever tried. Yes, they're a little expensive but well worth it.

Pleased
This deshedding tool is great! My lab/Sheppard mix has a really thick coat. It really pulls out a large amount of dead hair and make him look so much better. Even my short haired bulldog loves the attention while it still pulls much smaller amounts of hair & dirt from him. The ejector is very helpful & works well. Take care of it and it will last.

Best dog brush / deshedder ever!
I have an 18lb chiweenie (Chihuahua / Dachshund mix) that has short hair and a hairbrush doesn't do much for her fur. She doesn't even shed much, but at times seasonally sheds a bit. I tried out my friend's furminator, so then I absolutely had to buy one for my dog. I got the small one for short hair. It feels good to my dog and gets so much shedding fur that I couldn't get with lots of brushing, scratching with my fingertips, and pulling with my fingers. It was a relaxing and fun time to spend with my little girl. This is definitely the best dog brush / deshedding brush I've used! I highly recommend it. Not that expensive for a super effective, useful, quality tool.

Great Brush & worth the cost
OMG! The best ever. So easy to use, but be careful not to irritate your dogs skin, which can happen if you use too much pressure. We have a short hair Carolina Dog that sheds a lot all year. Although it gets a lot of hair, it doesn’t totally eliminate his shedding like I thought, then again, maybe nothing truly does. That’s why I gave it a 4 out of 5. I love how it keeps the hair in neat lil “caterpillars” like I call them.

I'm so happy I found this!!!
I first saw this brush on a social media site. It looked interesting so I did some research including checking Amazon and reading the reviews contained here, and I am so happy I did. First off the reviews here were great and gave me optimism that this thing really works. I have a 5 yr old lab who sheds like something I've never seen. Its not out of the ordinary to have dog hair tumbleweeds rolling along the floor within a week of the last vacuum. Every time you pet him you can see dozens of hairs shooting off into the air. I'm certain that if I didn't vacuum, that in one year I could have it completely blanket my floor . No joke! Anyhow, enough with that. This showed up today and I was excited to give it a try. OMG, I couldn't believe how well this works. If I was using a normal brush, I would have to stroke him 20-30 times to get the same amount of hair that just 1 or two strokes of this brush does. It was incredible. And to push a simple button to release the hair made it so easy to use. My old brush I would use one of those paint brush tooth cleaners to get the hair out of the brush so I could repeatedly use it. This does does look a little ominous with the metal teeth, but no fear, it doesn't hurt and he loved being brushed. My only complaint is that I wish I would found this 4 years ago. Great item, well worth the money.

Exactly what I needed when dog blew his undercoat
My dog is a coonhound/shepherd mix, and he definitely has more shepherd like traits when it comes to his fur. Some areas - around his neck and shoulders and his haunches especially - have a double coat. On the outside it looks like normal straight black fur (thats the coonhound) and underneath that is a grey, super soft, wavy undercoat. A couple/few times a year he sheds to get the new season of fur in, and the undercoat comes out in literal clumps. It's weird yet oddly satisfying to pull out big pieces, but also becomes quickly overwhelming when his fur is literally EVERYWHERE. I couldn't brush him enough to keep up. The furminator was a last ditch option and I read both rave and super negative reviews for it so I didn't really know what to expect. I took him outside and tried it out, and... WOW. Very effective for getting to that pesky underlayer and working out all the loose hairs. My dog generally gets all excited and playful when I try to brush him, but he actually calmed way down and seemed to really enjoy the way the furminator feels, and let me brush him down thoroughly. It's made a huge difference in reducing the shedding that was happening indoors, and I'm sure the neighborhood birds are loving the little drifts of hair that it so cleanly ejects. They probably have the softest, coziest nests on the block. Lol.

Extraordinarily phenomenal ♥️♥️
Just buy it! Hands down its best money I’ve ever spent on doggie item! We have 3 labs and it’s that time of year when they lose undercoat. I’m not only beyond amazed by this product but wonder where’s its been all my doggie mamma life!! I have pretty bad nerve damage in my hands and this is easy for me to hold and effectively use. My “girls” are as much in luv w this tool as I am. It’s gotta feel good bc they keep coming back for more! It’s extremely effective for shorter hair dogs, ergonomically perfect, making it super easy to use. I’d highly recommend using outdoors with good size garbage bag next to you. The amount of hair this awesome tool removes will simply blow your mind! Thanks for making this doggie 🐾🐾🐾 mamma’s day!

This works so well!!!! One brush stroke and I collected more hair than using a regular comb for 10min. I have the small, short hair version, would get a medium instead but great for short hair cats and Chihuahua.

My wife and I got our first puppy (an adorable black lab mix we named Nova) this past February, and since I hadn't had a family pet since I was very young, I was startled by the amount of shedding our little pup was doing. After some research, I found that the FURminator deshedding tool was highly regarded and had a reputation for working well. I was however a bit startled by the fact that PetSmart wanted $48 for a large size short hair FURminator. Luckily, FURminator had a sale during Amazon Prime days, and I was able to get this tool for a much more palatable $34.35. This tool has done a remarkable job at helping our Nova shed her winter coat and pull off any loose hairs, and unlike normal bristle brushes (which she prefers to chew on), she is comfortable enough with it to stay put for long enough for us to get a decent amount of loose hair off of her. The instructions do note that it's best to use the tool after a bath, which is true, but I still find it works well if Nova is dry, we just be extra careful not to pull any knots or work one area too much. Another alternative I do sometimes is take Nova outside on a nice day and mist her with the garden hose to get her coat slightly damp, which helps the tool glide more easily. This is an excellent tool for any dog or cat owner, and the only mark I hold against it is the price. Keep your eyes peeled for sales though, because this tool will go a long way towards reducing hair build up in your house and keeping your pet cool in the summer.

En realidad el cepillo estába maltratado, parecía usado. Posteriormente me percate que pedí uno erróneo, pues quería para gato y este es para perro 😅
