Fifty Lectures for Mathcounts Competitions (2)

I bought this series for my kids after doing some research online, my kid also attended the training class. The book is well organized, covers a lot of topics with plenty of examples. I discussed with my kid on a few relative difficult problems, tried to solve them by different methods, it was very fun! The book is not only good for kids preparing for competition, but also good for math practice/training in general.

This book is an amazing resource for learning new problem solving techniques and is really helpful for Mathcounts especially in the written round. It also gives a lot of shortcuts for problems. I really liked this book and have used it to prepare for Mathcounts and this is a must do book and it is a thorough review over many important and necessary concepts. It has some intermediate concepts as well.

As expected, covers good examples of questions and sample question papers

I believe this book is good enough with lessons, however my reason for a 1 star is due to the fact that there are no explanation for the answers given. So, if you cannot figure out HOW to solve the problem even with the answer, then you can't answer this problem on the Mathcounts competition, if it comes up. So this is why.

The book has good coverage and selection of problems. But it needs more proof reading to correct errors. Some questions don't have good explanation.
