Bosch Tassimo Coffee Machine/Espresso Maker Descaling/Decalcifying Tablets

My Tassimo maker red light has been on for a year now. I finally found the descaling product that works for this machine. It worked like a charm, yahoo. No more red light. Now for those of you who don't know how much water to use or how to set it to clean I can help. 1.) pull the water reservoir out and retrieve the yellow disk from the back of the machine and place it in the top of the coffee maker (like you are making a cup of coffee. 2.) take the insert that contains the water filter out of the water container and set aside. 3.) in a measuring cup add two (one pack) of descaling tablets with 17oz of hot water and let dissolve 4.) pour into water reservoir and replace it back on the machine. 5.) use a large cup to catch water, close lid containing yellow disk and press and hold button for 3 to 5 second, green and red light will start flashing, let it work its magic until the light tells you the reservoir is empty, wash reservoir, refill with 17oz of clean water and repeat cleaning cycle. 6.) red light should go out. now just put filter part back into the main reservoir, fill with water and just run a single cup of coffee through the machine. this will clean all chemicals out of the machine. 7.) replace yellow disk in back of machine and you are ready to go. It may seem like a lot, but it only takes 20 minutes of your time. If you need more info or don't have the book let me know and I will be glad to help you.

Works great

This works great. Better than the other product on Amazon. It is worth the wait since it comes from Europe. It is pricey for two tablets but again it works very well.

Bosch Massimo company provides very little, clear instructions for the use of this product. I went online, then telephoned, and still had to wait until someone could help me to use these tablets. Descaling the coffee maker was simple, once I learned how to do it. There are pages of information, in at least 25 different languages, but none of this is useful or helpful. In every language known to man we are told to refer to the instructions for descaling in our original purchase. These too are not helpful. I have other Bosch appliances, and they are very good, but there is little information about descaling, a procedures that is absolutely necessary for coffee making.

Did just the trick! My coffee maker is back up and running again.

These are fantastic and very easy to use. I hadn't cleaned my machine for quite some time and thought to try the Tassimo brand hoping it would be better than the other descaler I used in the past. I'll never go back.

I ordered this because the red light came on - and after looking into the reason why- it said I had to descale it. I had never descaled it in the year I have been using it since I always use filtered water-and I could not find what I did with the manual- so I looked at Utube for instructions. What I found was very vague- I used two tabs- dissolved in 17 oz of water and kept hitting the on button- which was the wrong thing to do- so I wasted 2 tabs. The red light still on. I found someone else's post- then it became clearer that I was supposed to hold the on button 3-5 seconds and then the descaling process would start! It took about 20 minutes- it would run a bit then stop and run again- and finally once finished the yellow light came on and no more red light! anyway- now I used the package up- so I'll have to buy more for next time.

So the red light has been on my Tassimo for over a year. I have tried liquid and effervescent types of descaling. Evidently the innards of this coffee maker are charred with the remnants of an apocalyptic event of which I was blissfully unaware. I feel certain a skilled cardiovascular surgeon would be unable to successfully unclog these pipes. I went through several gallons of water trying to rid myself of the aforementioned accursed red light, but to no avail. These tablets were mere child's play. The scaling is permanent, it is real, and it will take an act of the Almighty to clear it off. Aside from that, the Tassimo was one of the greatest inventions of my lifetime and I have thoroughly enjoyed the coffee it produces, but using these tablets was a pointless waste of both my time and money. The seller was awesome and the shipping was fantastic, as always, but save yourself some heartache; when the light comes on, buy a Keurig.
