Adorable, Uplifting, and Toddler-Approved
I love this book so much that when our first copy got destroyed in the great juice box incident of 2025, I immediately ordered another. It’s simple, sweet, and the message is exactly the kind of gentle brilliance I want my toddler absorbing while he’s also figuring out how not to eat crayons. The story is short enough to hold his attention and thoughtful enough that I don’t mind reading it for the 800th time. The pictures are bright, fun, and honestly, kind of make me want to hang them up as art. It’s warm, it’s kind, and it sneaks in a life lesson without ever sounding preachy. Basically, it’s the picture book equivalent of a cozy hug and I will forever love it for that.

A colorful celebration of difference that my son loves to read
My (6yo) son loves this book and has read it every day since it arrived (aloud to us or to himself) and even started drawing his own spin-off book. This makes me very happy, while he is a voracious consumer of audiobooks, he is a reluctant reader at home. I ordered this and unpacked it but hadn’t had a chance to sit down and read it with him before he picked it up and read it himself and showed it excitedly to us. The paintings are lush and candy-colored, but not overwhelming, so the story progresses without confusion. The accompanying text is simple enough for him to read with the emotions clearly communicated, and the ultimate message of inclusion is out loud and proud and fun, a celebration page with great joy in the diversity of all the different creatures.

Beautiful Artwork & Message to be Inclusive
My kids (2 & 6) love this book. I can't read it enough for them and my 6 year old has started reading it for her friends and family. All the kids adore the beautiful artwork, colors and think the animals are the cutest. It's a book about individuality, celebrating our differences not punishing them and being inclusive. That you don't have to be "this or that" and we want to live in a world where everyone is welcome. If the negative reviews mean that this positive message is propaganda / hidden agenda, then yes it is. Now why wouldn't you want to share a message like that with your children? The world would be a better place if everyone can be so kind and accepting.

Love the book but it's missing pages?
I bought this board book because I LOVE the story and want to read it to my students (I'm an elementary school counselor). I noticed it is missing the pages that say "you aren't birdy enough" and "you aren't rabbity enough". It just skips that page. Can I get a new book with those pages?

Lovely inclusive message
This book is simple and fun with brightly colored and cute illustrations. A good message for all children. Where this story really shines and brings something different is when two characters who look at first glance like they fit the typical blue bunny/yellow bird dichotomy come to the more inclusive society and are welcomed. The message being not only is an inclusive society better for those who absolutely can't fit in elsewhere, it's also better for people with subtle or invisible differences who would otherwise make themselves fit in to the binary.

Amazing book about loving others as they are. Great message for kids and even adults. We struggled to find this book in local bookstores and were pleasantly surprised to find it on Amazon. We bought 2 copies and they arrived ahead of time and in good condition. Highly recommend.

I legitimately recommend this book anytime someone asks about a gift for 0 to 4. I absolutely adore the acceptance message, the colors, the creative drawings and everything about it

This book is great for all ages. Has a very simple message of acceptance, and acceptance of any kind! Truly about being yourself. As a femme lesbian woman, I wish I had books like this as a child! I bought this for my friends soon to be baby boy. So happy with my purchase and cant wait to gift this book!
