Skeptic, I was at first....BUT That changed quick!I unpackaged the light and at first it felt too cheap to actually work as described. As the old saying "Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover" teaches, the same applies here. After I charged it, I couldn't wait till the dark enveloped my yard. Once it was totally dark I took it along with my IR Video camera (which also has a built in IR light) out back. Using just the cameras IR light I could see a small circle of what was in front of me, about 4-6 feet. Then I turned on this amazing surprise of an IR light and the entire yard lite up! I was blown away with the wide area and distance this light allowed my camera to see. Easily 10-20 plus feet. (I have a huge back yard)!I am seriously thinking of ordering a couple more just to have them on hand. Now I used this at first with the video camera. I then grabbed my still camera threw the switch to IR mode and snapped a couple of pictures. It worked just as good as it did with the video camera. I have the "L" bracket, 2 light set up so it was simple to unscrew the bracket from the video and attach it to the still camera. The pictures were crisp, clean and very viewable. For the price and from my experience with it I would have to recommend it for the novice to the pro.For still shots just leave the light on and snap away. I would venture to say it will work with any type of IR still or video camera without a problem.It came with the charger, 250/220 adapters, a straight mounting bracket, instruction booklet and endless possibilities of use!

The unit is well made and very bright will light up a 20x20 room easy 5 stars there. But the batt. that comes with it is junk. But you can replace the batt. with a better one and get 2 hours out of unit. 5 stars for build and value for money but 1 star for batt. life as stock. But this unit is brighter then my Creepy Hollow light and half the cost that is way I give it 5 stars if you do the batt. mod you will be very happy with this unit.

I bought 4 of these for the two night vision cameras I had and they work great. They're a life saver when I'm doing investigating outdoors or in a large location with open area (ie: a large building or structure). These allow me to see ridiculously far at night.I did notice that the on/off switch can be slightly finicy, and will make the light "flicker" if you don't push them with force to the on position. Almost as if the pressure of simply sliding the switch over wasn't enough to establish a connection. I simply turn them off and back on when this happens and they work fine. Once they're on, they never turn off.Besides this minute detail, the hot shoe mount fits all 5 of my cameras, and overall for the intended purposes I'm personally using these for, I'm ultimately happy with this purchase. I'd buy again in the event of accidental damage on my part. Would recommend to fellow paranormal investigators, with an IR or full spectrum camera. Works great on both and provides very adequate vision in the dark.

I just figured out how to mod this IR light and now it is amazing and perfect! Initially the battery life was terrible and when fully charged would last only about 45 minutes for a paranormal investigation if you were lucky, then needed to be charged. With this I can just pop in some new AA batteries if it gets low and continue on. Its super simple and easy. Just un-solder the main battery and connect a 3×AA adapter to the same connectors that you just un-soldered! Now you have a bit more power and the ease of just changing the batteries when you have low power. I have a few more pictures of the whole process if someone has questions, but its super simple and makes this product 1000% better!

While at first the lights appeared to work very well, with in 10 mins the light would dim and I was unable to see. I would say every 15 minutes I had to turn the light off and let it sit for 10 minutes before it would work again. It only stays charged for an hour but takes several hours to recharge. Any video recording and the light will literally melt the front red cover. Also the light is poorly made if left on for the entire battery life, the light will get very hot and actually melt the red cover on the front. All in all I do not recommend this light, unless it is for still pics. Definitely feel I wasted my money.

The build quality is on the cheap side, but adequate for casual use. The power adapter cracked under thumb pressure the first time I plugged it in, but hasn't fallen apart yet. The brightness is fine for my application, and the battery life is as expected.When plugged in the unit will not light, so it will only run off the battery. That should be made clear in the product description as some users may want to run it plugged in.For me, the worst part of the design is the charger. According to the instructions, leaving the light plugged in for more than 4 hours could damage the circuitry. I can imagine that some users would want to use it at night, plug it in to recharge, then go to sleep, only to damage their new toy. Anyone who doesn't read the instructions might deserve to have a damaged unit, but I can't think of any other rechargeable product with this limitation.

ナイトショットモードがあるので、風景の赤外線写真に使っています。が、文化財の墨痕の撮影に使う為本機を購入。まぁ上手くいきました。赤外線マクロ撮影。でも他のレビューにもありますが、中心が明るく周辺が暗い。あと、「弱すぎる」ってのはこの大きさじゃ無理ってもんでしょ。投光器状のヤツでも買ってみたら？兎に角、嵩張らず手軽で重宝します。あとは電池の持ちですけど、LEDに期待、ってことで。

For night vision, this infrared light is so great, you get a very good and clear view when using night vision camcorder. Great product
