Works amazing

Note : this version is bare bones, no charger, no lithium battery ... as I expected. (includes one cartridge.) This is a replacement for my older one which is going on 10 years and power up has recently been intermittent, but working most of the time. A pretty well made device .. works well with the OEM Labels. My only issues in 10 yrs have been with faulty OEM label cartridges. I have case, charger and battery left from the older unit.

Whether you are printing wire flags or heat shrink wire labels this label machine is worth the extra cost. It works well with very little instruction needed. The menus allow you to easily choose the type of label and your text size and direction. My control panels look much more professional using these labels. Features like auto numbering and patch panel printing allow me to complete the labels faster than I have in the past. Whatever industry you are in, there is likely a label function built into this machine for your needs.

This label maker is absolutely great! I use it mostly for printing on heat shrink tubing for electrical wiring. I can hardly believe it's as inexpensive as it is. I would highly recommend it!

I love this label maker. It is very useful in all kinks of projects around the house. This is my third 5200. I have bought one in 2012, 2015, and 2020. As told by others the display just stops working. You can tell that is is turning on and off by the back light of the LCD screen. However, I would rather have the product so I put up with the lack of reliability. It they would improve one thing on it, it would be the reliability. Still a very good add to my tool box.

Really like the layout and versatility. Simple and effortless to do the easy job, don’t need a PHD to change it up. It absolutely eats the batteries, though. Know that the first step to troubleshooting poor printing should be to insert fresh batteries, as the printer will work with low batteries, but often has problems with print quality. Good printer, but buy a battery charge station. 3.5 stars

Ive had this 2 months now and find it handier to use all the time. I bought it for automotive wiring harness building and the ability to print shrink tube, It does an excellent job of that. I even printed the circuit labels for a household electric service breaker box. My biggest recommendation would be buy the whole kit with battery, charger and case. I bought the tool only and found out 6 good quality aa batteries last about 15 minutes. So time i bought a battery and charger I have more in it and still don't have a case so that is my advice. I also bought compatible cartridges a lot cheaper and they work perfect. So don’t feel like name brand is all that works. Also i have yet to charge the battery with quite a lot of use so having the rechargeable battery will pay for itself the first use.

The label maker suits my needs perfectly. It is fast, quiet and the battery lasts for weeks on end. The printing is clear and can be cutomised in size, font and location on the label. The default printing position is right in the center of the label - which, when printing a longer label often leaves a noticeable but very thin line where the backing paper has been cut to allow it to removed. This line can be minimised/avoided with a little bit of formatting. It works really really really well on heatshrink labels. The keyboard is in alphabetical order which I thought would be a real pain but after printing a few labels it was ok. Just took a little bit of getting used to. Very happy with my purchase.

*update: Attached a photo of what the actual 3 line, 3/4 inch label looks like. Weird line across the middle with a slight misalignment on the 3rd line. FYI, this label maker just comes with 1x 3/4inch black on white vinyl cartridge and nothing else. No hard case, no rechargeable battery pack, no 3 piece cartridge variety pack. Works like it should, although the arrow buttons aren’t as responsive as the rest of the buttons. But that’s just me nitpicking. Great stuff.

Boaught it for my 71 year old brother and without any assistance, he was making labels just like that..then user guide is very simple and easy to read..

Love it! Once you learn how to navigate through its menus, it works like a charm. Also, the beauty of it is that you could order 3 cartridges of shrink tube for about $20.
