BMR A2DP Bluetooth Music Receiver + Power Adapter for Bose SoundDock I, Portable & Wave

Alright - this could be premature. If problems develop, I'll leave additional feedback. If they don't, this stands as written. First, a "DOH" moment. The unit is described as "Music Receiver + Power Adapter". I foolishly did not realize that the power adapter was the unit that actually installs in the cradle, and not some power-cord that ran from the unit to an outlet. Like I said - "DOH!" Installation literally took 2 minutes. An old iPod Nano 5th gen now charges when plugged in. So far, I've paired two iPhones, an iPod Touch, an older MacBook, an ASUS T100 and my Kindle via Bluetooth. All connected seamlessly and the sound is excellent. We have a very small apartment, so range is no issue - we easily get 40' distance with no synch issues. That's through several walls, a kitchen with old electronically noisy appliances and an apartment filled with electronic devices operating in all frequencies. Excellent. Finally, the sound is absolutely beautiful, within the limitations of the unit itself. This is, after all a SoundDock I original that was designed and manufactured quite a few years ago. That said, the sound quality over the Bluetooth link is every bit as good as from an iPod with a hard connection. Finally, the seller was absolutely fantastic. i left separate feedback for him, but you should know that - if this is the type of product you're looking for - you could not have a more professional and responsive seller to purchase from. This unit was a great technical solution and the seller made it a great customer experience. Highly recommended...

I was in the market for a bluetooth speaker but didn't have a lot of $ to spend. Saw a couple of cheap bluetooth speakers, but it was disappointing when I would invariably compare them to my Bose Sound Dock. This is where the bluetooth receiver with Power Adapter came to my rescue. My Bose Sound Dock is one of the older varieties which would not charge my IPhone 4, with the included power adapter in this package I was able to solve that issue. I have been listening to music through my Bose using this bluetooth adapter and various sources such as iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad etc. they work perfectly well. You can stream Pandora or any other music service and hear it through your Bose Sound Dock. Note: you would have to turn off the Bluetooth on your device (e.g. iPhone 4) before switching to another device (e.g. iPhone 5) to stream music from. Perfect product, working well, no drop in the quality of music, signal range depends on your device, iPhone 4S vs iPad etc. bigger range through iPad vs smart phones. I'm really happy with the product, the only thing I don't know is whether this has any manufacturer warranty and what is the expected lifespan of this device.

I've been using this receiver for a while now but found myself back online to see if I could find a receiver with a greater range. I came to this unit but it turns out this is the one I already have! I think the signal is good and clean out to 10 or 15 feet as long as it's line of site, with no obstacles. I think the distance is more a function of the transmitter though (my phone), not the receiver. The power button on my SoundDock 1 remote will not awaken this bluetooth receiver and there is no power button on the SoundDock itself. Therefore, I have to unplug the receiver and plug it back in, but I've got that down to a science and it's quick and easy and reliable. Once you get used to the bluetooth receiver then you'll never plug your phone into the SoundDock again.

I was researching outdoor speakers and decided to check and see if there any gadget that could make my old Bose iPod SoundDock works with streaming music. Thanks to the reviews I read I decided to purchase this product. I am so glad I did, so far it works perfectly. It was easy to set up, and the sound is great. I have used it with my Kindle Fire to listen to both Amazon Prime Music and Pandora with no problems. I plugged my SoundDock into an outdoor power strip with an on/off button as suggested by one of the reviews. That way, it is easy to turn off. The only small issue I found is sometimes if I use my Kindle to surf the web, the Bluetooth connection drops, but it is easily reconnected. Overall I am pleased, and at a much cheaper cost than getting new outdoor speakers.

... since the Bose Soundock doesn't really have an "On" switch the bluetooth has no way of turning on when I want to use it. The only way I've found to make it work is to unplug it from the dock every time I want to connect up my bluetooth phone to play music. Once I have the phone connected this little device does it's job well. Streams through to the Bose dock just fine.

I bought this so it was straightforward and easy to use for my wife and once again use the Bose SoundDock. I had this on my wishlist for a while and kept it there for an additional order for free shipping. First off I am the geeky person in my family and most of my friends. I tried multiple times to get this to work on my wife's iPhone 6. Nothing! Bluetooth on and off, restart her phone, plug SoundDock in and out, attached SoundDock to a powerstrip, not a damn thing. Finally returned the iPhone to my wife after removing this miserable device from her Bluetooth. Next morning tried with my iPhone 8 multiple attempts and it worked. Listened a few minutes and deleted it from my iPhone eager to finally set it up with my wife's iPhone later in the evening, IT DID NOT WORK. So I repeat to remove the miserable device from my wife's iPhone and try again with my iPhone MULTIPLE times. Nothing... same stuff Bluetooth on and off plugging​ and unplugging, powerstrip on and off and it never worked again. I threw the BMR A2DP Bluetooth Music Receiver + Power Adapter for Bose SoundDock I into the trash which is what this company should do with its entire inventory.

I have the Bose Sounddock Series I and this works very well and gives a new life to an older, but great audio device. The device is already assembled when you receive it in its packaging. I've been plugging and unplugging the power cord so far to turn off the Bluetooth. I'll get a power strip to plug it into so it doesn't keep trying to connect the Bluetooth. When the power is off on the Bose then the Bluetooth is not trying to connect.The sound is very good with the Bluetooth connection. I'm impressed !

I really liked that the seller went out of the way to explain exactly what equipment is or isn't needed for getting a Bose speaker dock to work with and iPhone (4). I thought to myself, as I ordered, "this guy really sounds like he knows what he's doing, and WANTS me to get the help I need - what a concept!" and hoped I wasn't wrong. Today I finally made it to my PO Box to pick up the adapter, and guess what? It works perfectly. First time. Easy instructions. THANK YOU!!!!!! You are among the few sellers out there whose marketing and service is clear, and does what it says it will do. It's kind of sad that I think this is so phenomenal, but hey, when you see good work, you want to let other people know. I can now use my Bose speaker dock again, and am very happy.
