I followed the instructions and VIOLA! it worked!! I lost the original key fob years ago and my husband just happened to do a search on Amazon and found this one. I missed it. Having to open the door with the key was a major pain. Unfortunately, my husband couldn't do the gentlemanly thing and open my door because the passenger side didn't have a lock on the outside. It was awkward. This key fob is a godsend. I am truly happy that we found it. It arrived quickly and the instructions were simple and on target. Now I can open the car doors myself. The loop of the original fob broke where it attaches to the key ring and I finally lost it. I hope this one doesn't do the same thing anytime soon. It certainly is more convenient than unlocking the doors with the darn key. And it was cheap! We thought we would have to pay a fortune to get another one. Amazon truly sells everything! I definitely recommend this product.

I recently purchased a keyless fob for my '05 Focus and it arrived so quickly in small packaging in the mail that I completely was caught off guard. The device looks pretty much identical to the factory-stock FOB unit except the buttons on this device are much more vibrant to the eye. My original FOB for my car lost its ability to unlock my doors because the button was over-pressed and stuck in place (purchased the car used, FOB came like that). Coming across this amazing deal on a replacement one for car was an immediate no-brainer purchase. The range is at par with my old one, simply put, it gets the job done. I went to the Ford Dealer here in Montreal and found that they charge CAD72.05, plus taxes (13.5%), for the original remote controller for my 2005 Ford Focus. Then, i decided to give this one a try.I got it a few days after ordering and had a really good impression about the quality of the product. The only issue was that the programming instruction was missing. So, i sent an e-mail both to Amazon and to the vendor, and got responses from both the next day.Today, before programming the remote, i decided to check the manual of the Focus and found that the programming instruction is right there, and it matchs the ones i got from Amazon and the vendor.It took me just a few seconds to successfully program it!

$8 for a new remote I was skeptical especially after my experience trying to get one at the dealership. I got the remote read the instructions and again I was skeptical. The instructions were simple to follow but turning the key in the ingnition a bunch of times seemed like a strange way to program a remote. However I followed the instructions and it worked perfectly. So happy to have the remote back after my old one broke.One pro tip when you're programming the remote close all the doors and put on your seat belt. The door alarms and seat belt alarm sound exactly the same as the tones you need to program the remote.

Work as described would buy again

I like that it works just as expected and the directions that came with it were very thorough and how to program it to my specific vehicle type. (2005 Ford Focus zx4 ST) I would definitely give it a full 5-star rating, however, the two things I did not like about this particular remote fob is the panic button is too easily, mistakenly pressed, usually when everyone's in bed LOL! And second, the range is still pretty poor, I only get at the most I'd say 20 maybe 30 ft at most and that's stretching it... Now that could also be the receiver in the actual vehicle itself, I did replace the battery in the remote fob and it did not seem to make a difference, which means the remote had a brand new battery in it which is a plus. But if the company could maybe take a look at making the alarm or panic button a little more low profile if you would so that it's harder to press or make it so you have to press it twice in a row or hold it down for at least 5 Seconds...etc. other than these two flaws that I can think of, for the price you cannot beat it! I definitely would recommend this to a friend, only after warning him about the two little idiosyncrasies about it ;-) :-)

I bought a used 2002 Ford Focus, not even thinking about keyless entry. After finding out about two later (the first time my son tried to get in) that there is only a keyhole on the drivers door, it's gotten more and more annoying to have to unlock the drivers door, reach in and hit the unlock or trunk button. After calling back the seller of the vehicle, I found that they hadn't had on for a long time either.After a while of searching I came across the BestKeys keyless entry fob. The necessary battery was included as well as a set of instructions on how put your car into programming mode, and assigning the new fob to your system. A lot of turn the key X amount of times, wait 1 second, do this...You should definitely read them through the first time, but they're really easy to follow. I had my fob setup about 5 minutes out of the box.It's definitely a function that's easy to live without, but once you have it, it's hard to give it up.
