Perfect Restaurant Quality Omelette - Pay Attention To Instruction
One thing I've noticed on many reviews is that people tend not to follow the directions on what they order and then bash the product. I noticed many people complaining about this one, but it seemed so simple, I thought I would give it a try. I think a lot of people don't realize that microwaves have different wattages so that affects everything. If you have a gourmet microwave, the wattage will be higher so you have to set the time accordingly. If you have a cheaper microwave, the wattage might be lower than the average 1000 watts so again, you have to set time accordingly. I have a gourmet microwave and the average microwave so when I tested this out making 2 omelettes, I was able to set the time in the instructions for the regular microwave and everything came out perfect. I had to do 10 seconds less on my gourmet microwave since it's 1100 watts. The process is just two steps. You mix the eggs with your spices and milk (I always find adding milk will make the fluffiest omelettes. Then you pour half on one side and then half on the other. You add the time and when that's over, let the omelettes rest for about 10 seconds. They will normally be a little runny in the middle. You add your ham, bacon, cheese, whatever you desire and then just flip the lids closed. Then you put in for another minute (according to the instructions and how many eggs you have). You take out of the microwave, flip on your plate and that's it. If you do three eggs and add a lot of extras, you might want to put a plate underneath as it might leak out a little. This doesn't happen with 2 eggs. What I did to avoid leakage was just make 2 and a half eggs (since I'm cooking for 2 of us) and there was no issue of that happening. I've tried those pots where you put the eggs in and it winds up knocking the ceramic lid off in the microwave. This is so much easier and better. Plus you can put this in the top section of your dishwasher so no issues with cleaning.

You need to experiment with this.
I used a microwave omelet cooker years ago, and liked it, but it "disappeared" , so I decided to order this one. This omelet maker is good. The only problem is with the times listed in the instructions. If you have a small, 900 watt microwave, the cooking time is probably good. But if you have a large 1200 watt, like mine, you can't do it. It overcooks the eggs and turns them rubbery. I had forgotten that from past uses. When I removed the omelet pan with the three egg mixture, after one minute, the eggs had shrunk into the middle of the dish on both sides, not like an omelet, at all. And it was tough, and not moist, like the directions call for. By the time I added my chopped ingredients, and put it back into the microwave to "finish cooking" it was like rubber. But it can be made to work well, and produce nice omelettes. Basically, I suggest tossing the cook time instructions, and work with your omelette with different settings until it comes out right. This may take a few tries. First thing for me was to reset my microwave power to about 60%. I have found, from microwaving scrambled eggs on a plate, that beating a little milk into the egg mixture allows it to cook more evenly, and puff up--about 1 or 2 tsps per egg. Water will work, too, but not as well. Pour the mixture into each side, and set the microwave for the time showed, but open and check it every 15-20 seconds, and stir the mixture to blend the egg curds so they cook evenly. Continue microwaving and stirring until it's nearly set, but still wet in the middle. Remove from oven, add veggies etc., close the container and microwave for about another thirty seconds, then let it sit for a few seconds to finish cookng. I also recommend pre-cooking, or at least pre-warming the filling, because if you cook the omelette long enough to warm the filling, that will also add to the toughness of the eggs. Bottom line, watch your cooking time, and power level, and adjust your method of cooking until you get the right combination for your microwave.

Maybe Find Another Product
I probably expected too much from this item. Used it several times and the egg falls apart and sticks to the lid when you close it to finish the cook.

I love this thing. I hate making eggs in a frying pan. It’s an extra dish to clean and I always burn them. This thing, spray with Pam, crack in 2 eggs, 1 minute later I’ve got eggs. Can use them for breakfast sandwiches or on the side. Also, can scramble the eggs and make a quick omelet. Throw your veggies and cheese right in there. Boom. Breakfast in 2 minutes
