Yes, this is actually compatible with a 19" rack!
Most (if not all) of the other computer rack-style power strips on Amazon are wider than 19" by about 0.25". This one is dead on 19" and will fit a portable rack case (e.g. Gator) that has a recessed rack strip with zero tolerance for an oversized power unit. This may not necessarily be the situation with a studio/desktop rack where the rack strip is not recessed, but for a portable case it's very important. The JUSTOP unit is sturdy and does the job well, glad I found it.

Tricky mains cable placemet
Take care with this one. The mains cable comes out the side rather than at the back, This will be OK if you use it in a standard rack, but if you use something like a lack rack, you'll need to hack!

Switch on/off failed
3rd time using on/off switch and defective. Thought this was the answer to my problem… nope
