Beautiful, high quality, and diverse options!
I am so happy with the quality of these battle mats! They're at such a great price for six entirely different terrain maps. I honestly thought they would be really low quality materials or blurry images close up. However, they are great quality material and even better imagery! All I could find at game shops were expensive battle mats that cost more than these but had only one terrain (not six!), and often had buildings, cities, etc. already in the image so you had to use them for one specific setting or module. I'm DMing for d&d 5E at a game shop this week and can't wait to break these out. It's going to be nice to have a terrain available for whatever one-shots and campaigns I run. I also really like that the four dry-erase markers, eraser, and empty spray bottle were included. I will probably fill the spray bottle with water for quick clean-ups during games, but even without any water the eraser works pretty well to clean up marker.

Amazing!!!!
Very well made. Easy to roll back up. 10/10 would recommend.

High quality.
Double sided, variable terrain dry erase maps. These make gameplay a lot more visually easy to grasp. Easy to take on the go, nice thickness and texture, and equally easy to store. I love them.

Perfect except for missing bottle lid
This product is perfect. Bad reviews for "hard to get out or tube" and "doesn't lay flat" and "cheap?" Please. Yes it doesn't magically fly out of tube when you open it but how else should it be packaged? Take 20 seconds of your life to pry it out as they are in the tube securely. Doesn't lay flat immediately. No kidding. Roll it up the other way and hold for about a minute and it's good to go. The mats were used by my dork team and me within and hour of opening, and it worked perfectly. We all agreed it was a good purchase and that henceforth it would be used every session. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because there was no water bottle lid. Just a bottle. No lid. I stared at the lidless bottle all evening while we played. And it made me sad. I shall have to come up with some other use for the lidless bottle. Maybe put whiskey in it and call it a magic charisma option? I don't know. But no matter what it's used for, the mats themselves will continue to be a prominent part of our nerd adventures because they are awesome and I love them.

Worth it for sure
I received the 3(6) map product from Melee. I'm pointing this out because there seems to be some disconnect with the reviews on here, and what product they represent. 35 year RPG player, and I have a pretty elaborate set-up here. We use a lot of 3D terrain, and usually when any kind of map is needed, I draw and print it myself (CorelDraw/Photoshop). Many of the concerns mentioned before are true; they are very glossy, they are a little stubborn to get to lay flat if you store them rolled up. I do have a mat I purchased from them a long time ago and rolled it the wrong way and it did the wrinkle of death act on me. This was my fault, but it also made me shy away from this type of mat. With this set, I wanted to give it another try. I have a couple of quick Holiday themed one-shots coming up, as well as a beach scene in a campaign and I was really interested in both the snow, and beach mats. Here is what I think so far: Laying flat: Not quite the problem it has been made out to be. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS and roll it the opposite way for 30 or so in a warm environment, and it goes amazingly flat right away. Without any weights, they are playable in about an hour. That praise aside, Due to my previous bad experience with a Melee Mat, I no longer store these types of mats rolled up. They are held with large paper clips and hung on the wall. Wet/Dry Erase markers: Honestly, I don't use these much at all. I usually don't mark things on the maps, I usually use a 3D physical representation of the item needed. This doesn't mean I have every possible 3D printed scatter terrain available, sometimes it means a cardboard counter or marker. When I do mark on them its usually with a grease pencil (yes, I'm still in the '80s). Getting out of the tube? Yeah, that was rough, but I took the cap off the other end and it practically fell out that direction (don't ask me how). Price: With drawing and printing, I use a lot of disposable maps and parts, the group and adventures deserve it. Currently the price for this set is $35.00 What this set comes down to is less than $6 per map. That's a pack of cigarettes or a fancy coffee. Heck, pack a sandwich for lunch a couple of days instead of going out, and you have got this thing paid for. Size: OK, just experience talking here, the 24” x 36” with a 1” grid or hexes, is about the best for an RPG encounter. It might seem like it, but you really don't need anything bigger, even with an 8 person party. Battles usually collapse to the center anyhow. Overall, definitely try one of the sets from these guys, right now there are several options on Amazon. I will watch for additional art and would purchase again. Five Stars Suggestions for Melee Mats: How about a real Swamp area, like dirty mangrove type, not just smudges. How about a real forest area, lots of mud/undergrowth. Jungle would be awesome, Tomb of Annihilation is still big right now. A grassland/open with a couple of crossroads would be perfect to build a village or hamlet on. (Think Phandalin for you young'uns, or Hommlet for us oldies, or any other adventure that takes place largely in or around a town). Thank you all, and have an awesome day!

Must Have for DMs
If you are a DM playing DND or Pathfinder with minis, you need these map sheets. I use them every single session as it's a great way to convey your environment. This set does come with stickers and markers to add to the session, and I do suggest you wipe off the marker after you session as it can be hard to remove. These map sheets are also very durable as I have had a set for years now with minimal wear. I do suggest you that you store them flat or clip them onto a hanger like I do as it can take some time to get them flat if you roll them up every time.

High quality mats, great value
The Mats are very high quality. Perfect size for tabletop RPGs (Too small for some war games) the added accessories are really nice to have. There is a nice variety of landscapes covered, but if I could offer one nitpick I think the tropical one is a bit redundant. There is a grass one that could be used for forests of any kind with a few pieces of terrain, and a sand one which could be used for desert or beaches. I would have liked to see a brown grass one in its place. This could double as either a wasteland, fall landscape, or work better as a base for a "spooky" dead forest

Very good for tabletop!
I use a variety of mediums running my in person game (foundry, PowerPoint of images, videos, music, and physical dice, figures, and maps!) this kit is amazing. You get all terrains you can apply to the game. I like the tube for storage and it packs neatly away each session. One thing I wish is that the tiles were more clearly marked as 5ft on the stone one, as the square cobblestones do confuse my players. But that’s such a minor thing it’s still 5/5 stars! Definitely a must for any GM
