SEM 39853 Black Texture Coating Spray Aerosol - 16 oz.

I used this product on a recent project classic mustang, on the 1968 mustang center console there were holes that were in need of repair. This texture matched perfectly and restored the out of production part, and the results were outstanding. Used on el Camino dash, way easier than covering with vynl, results came out excellent!

Must shake it real good at first, I really like the way the texture came out. One thing that might work better is to lightly sand it before painting it. Because when wiping it with a microfiber cloth when washing the piece I textured. Felt like the texture would grab onto cloth. Like a skateboard grip tape. But overall, I was happy with the product.

Worked good on car I'm restoring. You will need to sand dash, use sem soap, sem adhesion promotor, sem texture spray, then sem clear. Be ready to spend a whole lot of money and time before you buy texture spray. Will not adhere to dash if all these steps aren't taken. Again, be ready to spend a lot more money than just buying a can of texture spray. if you follow all the directions on sem web site, your project will come out looking very nice.

Great product

I used the SEM 39853 Black Texture Coating Spray to repair heat marks and scratches on the textured interior plastic of my 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning glovebox. This product works exactly as intended and does an excellent job of recreating the factory-style texture on interior trim. The key is light, controlled application. A very fine mist blends into the existing grain and helps hide scuffs and sanding marks without making the surface look heavy or artificial. Once top-coated with SEM Color Coat, the repaired area blends in extremely well and looks close to OEM. It dries quickly, is easy to control, and gives you the ability to fix interior plastic damage that would otherwise require replacing expensive parts. This is clearly a professional-grade product and well worth it if you take your time and prep properly. I would absolutely use this again for interior trim repairs.

Used this to restore the "driver's side" of an old Vetter motorcycle fairing...Didn't care for the original vinyl "flap" fairing pocket cover on the left side, so I made a new pair of covers out of fiberglass and then needed to find a product to put down a texture so they matched the original ABS the inner fairing is made from....I'm VERY happy with how this turned out, definitely worth the $$...

Not easiest to apply. Better practice on piece of cardboard as pattern changes depending on distance. When done properly, end result is great.

Works exactly as advertised. I repaired a cracked dash and used this product to add a textured finish. A light sand and finish with satin black and it looks like new. Great product!

Not sure if I got a bad can or not, but it certainly didn't finish as expected. U tube videos show it laying down a nice black texture and drying to a black finish. The can I got sprayed no texture and dried to a grey colour. At $70 + a can I'm not sure I want to risk buying another can.
