First time I bought these was for a beater Mazda Protege that just needed to get down the road. I remembered how easy they were to install so decided they were the right choice to my 150k T&C that had bad bump stops and bushings. Installation was pretty simple. Hardest and slowest part of the process was the sway bar link as others have commented. Make sure you have a full line of metric wrenches on hand! Getting the three bolts to line up in the strut towers was tricky and definitely required an assistant. I was able to get close enough on the alignment where there was no detectable change in handling. Will have to watch tire wear closely but for now I think I nailed it. Used a scribe on the knuckle and a beam level to check camber. Overall ride improved dramatically over the worn out probably original struts. Suspension is still a little softer than I would like, but it is a mini-van after all. I should note too, that my main reason for replacing these was to get rid of an annoying clunk I get at low speeds on bumpy roads. I thought for sure it was the upper bearings in the strut assembly but it was not. Sway bar bushings turned out to be the source.

Buy it now; don't keep looking; don't go cheap with some off brand or lower price/quality level. Some concerns that I had before receiving and installing these units, Monroe 171572L and 171572R: - will the spring rate match the original OEM? I didn't want something weaker than what I removed. - will assembled quality match/exceed original OEM? YES, YES. The ride quality was restored to at better than I can ever remember. The fit-up was as good or better than the original factory OEM units. No more strange noises - very quiet suspension now. The installation details: - I used spray paint to scribe/mark the location of the original unit. This was so that I could install the new units as close as possible to try to match the camber alignment. This definitely helped - I will still go and get the alignment checked/adjusted, but I think I came really close, if not nailed it. - I performed this work ( both strut assemblies) together with replacement of L/R sway bar links, L/R axle CV joints, and both sway bar bushings.

Had a popping sound in front passenger side of my Chrysler Town & Country was attributed to Struts, so I replaced with this product. Product fit okay no problems with installation, but instead of an occasional popping sound, I now have a banging noise that occurs going over almost every bump. The noise is worse now than with the old struts. I should return, but too much labor to remove them and re-install. I won't be buying Monroe again!

Direct replacement for application. Worked great and rode smoothly. Owner was pleased.

Front left Monroe quick strut worked perfectly on an '06 Grand Caravan SXT with the 3.8 l engine and an '03 Town and Country with the 3.8 l engine. The post was even rotated properly to fit right into place. The strut came with the three top bolts. Sway link lined up perfectly. It rides quiet and improved ride height. You will need to reuse the metal brake line harness, as this doesn't come with an extra.

This is a very nice assembly and was super easy to install. I also replaced the sway bar link at the same time.
