This is the adapter to buy for playstation 2 to HDMI!
I wanted to play my ps2 on my HiSense UH6 tv and it doesn't have component connections so I looked on line and the first one I ordered didn't look good at all and then I found the Linkfor adapter. After reading reviews, I decided to give it a go. Received in two days which was great. Super simple to install and had a signal right away and so I put in a ps2 game and I was blown away!! It looks fantastic, no more pixelated, fuzzy picture! For games that are twenty years old, they look great on an HD tv! I highly recommend this adapter to hook up your ps2 to HDMI!! I read a comment that said it wouldn't work with a slim ps2 but that is false, works great on mine. Plug in the adapter first and the power supply and it will fit!

Best PS2 Slim Convertor
I have three PlayStation2 systems (1 slim, 2 big tacky ones). If you have the slim it works perfectly. I have a Samsung 65 inch tv and worked perfectly. The other two OG consoles neither of the two shows displays. The OG console probably has a hard time trying to convert the image/gameplay. It’s still 100/100. I do have older Samsung tvs that I am able to connect the yellow, white, red cables. However, I have made an upgrade to most Smart TVs in the household. Just be ware my old heads. It’s most likely only compatible with the Slim PS2.

Worked great. Was very happy.
Worked great. Was very happy. Easy to set up and no issues. The adapter doesn't power itself through the HDMI connection. You have to use the little cord that comes with it and connect to one of the USB connections on the laptop in order to get it to work, but once you do that you're good to go. EZ PZ

Great HDMI Converter
I had no issues getting this to work on a phat model ps2. The picture quality was significantly better than any of the RCA to HDMI converters due to how it utilizes the output signal and I don’t have any complaints about the sound. Can’t go wrong at this price. It’s sturdy, but I would still be careful as it sticks out pretty far and if you aren’t careful, could damage the output port.

Picture is noticeably cleaner but the random blackouts get old. Maybe I just got a bad one
I wish I could give it 5 stars because you can tell instantly how much cleaner the lines are on an hdmi tv. We are talking about a system that’s over 20 years old and the ace combat trilogy (which I bought this for) looks amazing. Only downside is, the screen goes back for 2-3 second every once in a while. It’s not everytime I play, but it seems like if it does it once it’s going to keep doing it. I tried a separate power source using an iPhone 5v 1 amp adapter, same issue, tried using a 5v 2.1 amp adapter, same thing. Maybe I just got a bad one, but I got this one particularly because the headphone output. For the money I wasn’t expecting much but it does work, except those black outs. When you been chasing a plane and finally get a lock and it goes black, I have to pause it real fast and then resume but at that point your out of rhythm tracking. I play with the old flight stick 2 for ps2 seeing I can’t afford a gaming computer to play dcs or warthunder with a better HOTAS. Even the ones for ps4 and 5 and junk, thrust master and Hori, which is sad cause I love the Hori flight stick 2 I use, but the new ones just have such bad reviews I can’t buy a $200+ HOTAS for one AC7 game.

Nope
Was so excited to get this and start playing my old PS2 games. I followed the directions and also watched several videos on how to install. The install was super simple. I was able to get the PS2 initial start up screen to come up but was getting "no signal" on my tv when I installed the game. I turned it off to start over again and now the system won't work at all. Can't even get the PS start up screen to come up. My smart tv actually has AV component inputs so I tried it that way and it did work but the picture quality is terrible. I reinstalled the converter and tried again and same thing happened as before--NOTHING. Cannot get a response from linkfor either. BOOOOOO!! Try another product.

Doesnt work with monitors, dont buy if you already have a video cable for your console.
This thing is pointless. It doesn't work with monitors but it works with TVs. There is no reason to buy this when most TVs have Component as an input option anyway. I recently got a ps2 but it didn't come with a video cable so I bought this and the default video out on the ps2 is RGB, it's hard to change the video settings when you can't see anything on screen. I ended up having to buy the original cable that the ps2 came with. When I actually was able to change the video setting, the picture quality was as good as it can be which is 480i for most games on the ps2. When I plugged the thing into an LG ultra-wide the signal was just flashing over and over, then I put it into another Samsung monitor that I had and there wasn't even anything being displayed but then I put it into my TV and it works perfectly fine. I don't know why this is happening but it's really strange, the manufacturer should have just made an RGB to digital converter so it actually works with anything that has HDMI. TLDR: just buy a component to HDMI adapter because it actually works with all HDMI displays.

What a huge jump in visual quality!!!
Very cool piece of kit to help out with game preservation. I remember 15-20 year ago spending a few hundred dollars on various VGA boxes so I could play my Dreamcast and Xbox/PS2 games on my CRT computer monitor. If you wanted a device like this back then it would have been $80-$150 minimum. Very happy with it. Even more so that it was only $12 and came with all the cables. Visual qality is a 9/10 for me, on the regular cables visual quality was like a 3-4/10. Looking at finding one for my Dreamcast now. These little converters are cool.

The converter works perfectly. I had no issue at all setting it up and the picture quality works great! The sound quality is quite good as well.

This is the best way to get your ps2 working with common HDMI tvs. Its been working well for months, cleared up the picture, and the price is fantastic. I hope this product stays around for a long time. UPDATE 1 YEAR LATER: It still works great wish i could add more stars to this review

Well I'll say this in a way I would have liked to hear it when I was shopping! I'm just regular middle aged guy trying to play my old games. I'm not overly A/V savvy, but passable. I was going down the OSSC/mClassic road but really couldn't afford it yet, in the meantime I'm playing Drakengard blown-up to 82" and the text ain't great. I've been using the standard RCA Composite cables (Red/Yellow/White) and a cheap-and-common amazon HDMI 1080 upscaler. That's the image on the left half, and the one on the right it after plugging in this linkfor device via HDMI (without doing any optimizing in TV settings). I mean I know this isn't the best PS2 can look, but for $26 dollars while you're on the fence about the $450 for that meta setup.... I think this is pretty pleasing. FYI I've also tested it using the PS2 USB to output power and a standalone 5V wall plug, with no noticeable difference!
