(3-in-1 Edition), Vol. 1 Review: Such a great Series! - I love this series I have all the books. It is such a great story and way better than the anime. I highly recommend it. Before toy buy it though you should know that the book is read right to left because it's translated from Japanese. Its totally worth it though and even though its backwards if you speak English its not that different and you get used to it quickly. The book is amazing and a turning point for me because before it I almost never read unless I had to or it was on my phone. So even if you don't like to read than I still recommend giving it a chance. All the books came in great condition and have that new book smell freshly printed in beautifully done black and white. The book also has small notes on a few pages for things that you may not understand about something from Japanese culture which are helpful if your American or from anywhere that isn't Japan. It's great for teenagers or tweens is a little dark for kids under 10 or so. Review: Now I can summon Exodia - The pages are thin, I can see through even when I'm reading it at a table, but other than that this is a great product.

Great Budget Friendly Alternative for Fans
I love this release. 3 volumes for near $10 is just so good. It takes up less space, is cheap, and actually still looks really pretty. Yes, as other people said the pages are thin, but that really doesn't matter while you're reading it. If you were to say, put the pages individually against a light, sure you could see through it, but in regular reading and in regular light that isn't an issue at all, they just look normal. Some people also talk about bad quality control, but I had no issues, my text/formatting was good. Even if you do get one with bad quality -It happens- simply return it and get another one. The cover-art is also really nice and a good substitute for the original volume art. If you're looking to read the series, I actually recommend this release over the individual volumes. I really don't recommend you get the individual volumes unless you're a huge fan or collector and have the space for such a thing. They are higher quality and look nicer, but these are a good substitute that offer more space efficiency and are cheaper.

Almost better then the anime
The anime was produced by the company 4Kids But due to the company having to keep the name and brand kid friendly as possible, the manga is a bit more exciting for 10+ audiences. If any parents out there are reading this, you should give it a read yourself cause it has a lot of board game at home activity’s you can do with your kid or teen ☺️

thicker than other mangas, good material, colourfull, not heavy to carry with you, i would say for ages between 9+.

Good pre-anime stories to establish the nature of the pharaoh
I really enjoyed this. As others have said it's a bit darker than the anime, but not too dark. It uses the Japanese names. I liked seeing more detail of the origins of the pharaoh. Most of these stories take place in Yugi's high school and have little to do with "children's card games." I imagine later volumes have more card playing, though there is some. The focus is rather on "games" and how the pharaoh loves games and... poetic justice? Again, it's a little dark, but not that dark. Also, for any people out there like me who weren't sure about the format when they bought it, it reads like manga, back to front, right to left. I realize that some people will read this comment and think it's obvious, but I didn't know how Americanized this would be. I don't buy a lot of manga.
