Excellent!! Better than restaurant version
This is a Japanese version of Chinese mabo tofu. it is very flavorful and to me it tastes much better than the ones I have had in any Chinese restaurants here in Florida which tend to make them too sweet and bland. First I followed the instructions and added a small amount of ground pork, and it was excellent, but I have also tried it w/o any meat and it was also still excellent. The sauce has a very rich flavor and a perfect balance of heat and saltiness. I found the Medium Hot to be quite mild, and nowhere near as spicy as the Medium from a Chinese brand Mabo Tofu I had tried once before.
