Happiness-Magnetic Poetry Kit

In 2008, I've become a huge fan of Magnetic Poetry and all the flexible language exercises and fun games that springs from it. Who knew that playing with words would be so relaxing, therapeutic, and enjoyable? I find myself searching for the next best word kit to add to my collection. The more unusual the theme the better! I suppose I've become a word theme collector! LOL :) This "Healing Words" product inspires me to focus on healthy ideas, positive thinking, comfort, joy, and personal wellness. It's perfect for having an "internal" dialogue with yourself or for leaving encouraging messages for a loved one to find (say on the refrigerator or other steel surface). I enjoy using this kit with the "Haiku" word kit tiles because the natural, peaceful themes are compatible. More enjoyment can happen when family members or friends or party guests join you in creating magnetic poetry, and / or you add words from other, "unrelated" word packs--such as putting this kit with the "Office Poetry" one or the "College" one! I like this though because it allows me to create longer pieces of poetry or imagery strings when I am in the mood.** This particular version of Magnetic Poetry makes a great little "thinking of you" gift for someone who needs some cheering up, some encouragement, some soul-hugging comfort. Using this kit with the kit that comes with the stand allows for more expression, creativity, and interaction. A "steel" lined journal can be purchased for Magnetic Poetry's website, and I imagine that it also would be a helpful product for users who were confined to beds or chairs. The journal would be something that they could hold and work with in such situations.

Plenty to use. Only problem is when you drop them and they are forever taken as a sacrifice to the endless, lightless void under the fridge, never to be perceived by human eyes again, never to be perceived in any form we could ever hope to understand. The void sees all and knows all, we cannot touch the abstractness of its existence, not even to merely imagine it. Where it sits beneath the fridge are places where horizons span in all directions, in every way, in every color. Places where dreams are seen as reality and words are spoken wordlessly. Hearing without listening. Talking without speaking. Songs that voices never share. Who would dare? It is the true sound of silence. In it’s arms the lost words sleep and soundly recall their meaning. The void takes the forsaken under its abstracted wings, and they do not lonesome. Magneticality is made polar. Do not be afraid to give them to the fridge void. They will be safe and cherished. Anyway, we use it to make stupid inspirational quotes. Here are some: Grass friend. Giggle only. Feel smile. Wisdom whisper. Bring martini. Understand the bluebirds. Essential sunshine man make more happy day.

Very fulfilling but I did throw a few little magnets away

The Magnetic Poetry Kindness kit has a good selection of words in the area of interest. The quality is good. The sheets of words snap apart pretty easily, and I didn't damage any of them during the separation process. If you're torn between these and sets from the brand Poetry Tiles, I think it really comes down to what words you want. Get the sets that have the words you want, because there's not much difference otherwise. The physical differences between the Magnetic Poetry brand word tiles and the brand Poetry Tiles 1) Magnetic Poetry uses a serif font, while Poetry tiles use a sans-serif font. 2) The Magnetic Poetry tiles have a little more white space around the words. I wouldn't even notice those differences if I wasn't consciously comparing the sets. I don't see any other physical differences between the tiles from Magnetic Poetry and Poetry tiles. I don't mind the way the intermingled tiles, from the different brands, look. I buy both brands then mix and match the words.

You get alot of words! Lol They are very neatly printed and stick well. I love the variations of long words yet also short vowels. Super cute! I bought a 14 x 30 magnetic board to use them on!

Perfect addition to the Magnetic Poetry family. This activity is extremely therapeutic for adults and children. My daughter and I work through many issues using these kits (we have seven different sets). I love them!

Nice sized, thickness, and quality. I combined a fewPoetry kits (Healing Words, Haiku, and another basic set )for the grandkids and gave them one big magnetic board and then each of them a smaller magnetic board to work on their laps. We picked up magnetic boards inexpensively at dept stores. We had no trouble coming across 'inappropriate" words in the sets I chose. There was the word "sex" however, which sent one grand daughter into the giggles. I believe it helps teach language skills and exposes kids to words they can use that they wouldn't think up on their own. We also play made up games with the words.

I work in a school and stuck these on my office door. The messages the kids post are great. I also bought a set for my wife to put in her classroom. She has them on her blackboard and her adult ESL students use them regularly.

Adequate - but not enough words to write anything really unique. Disappointed that there were so many "s" and useless/redundant words, like "and" and "the" and "a" used as actual "words". Misleading.
