Is the small diameter string part that attaches to a camera ... string or wire?

The small string end slipped through a place on the camera intended for a strap to attach. The small string end was long enough to put the rest of the loop through and it worked great. The small end is a tough string. I picked up this little camera (Nikon Coolpix L100) at an estate sale and it didn't have a strap; it's the kind of camera I'd use with a wrist strap anyway. It works just fine and is strong enough.

Is this long enough to be used around neck while surfing with a mouth mount?

Definitely not. Unless you have a super tiny neck/head. It big enough to put both of your hands in the loop, but not over your head.

What is the black piece called that moves to adjust? I need to get a replacement black piece but am not sure what it’s called. Thanks!

Hi Savannah, I believe that piece is simply called a “slider”. Looking at mine, I don’t believe the slider is user replaceable because it is a one piece, molded, part. If the slider’s function is important to you, it may be easier for you to treat yourself to a new one. Good luck.

How exactly does this attach to cell phone/case?

I believe it depends on the phone or case. If the phone or case has a solid and secure loop, or indentation with a bar across it, you can slip the loop through that place on your phone or case then pull the rest of the strap through it. It would not attach to my phone (Samsung Galaxy) because there is no place to slip the loop through. From what I know about iPhones, they don't have such a structure, either.

Perfect, Comfortable and Easy To Use (Highly Recommend)

I purchased several different camera straps for my Canon G16, and these are by far the best. A bonus is having six in a package (I already gave two of the six to a friend, so I still have three if the one now on my camera breaks).Other camera straps I purchased had uncomfortable straps made of wide 1" grosgrain ribbon, or were made of rope that was far too thick. The "loop thread" on these by the Hukado Store seems fairly strong and easily slipped through the tiny groove on my camera. In addition, the strap is very comfortable on the wrist, not too thick, not too thin, just right. I highly recommend them for their quality and convenience.

Lens cap leash alternative

I have a spotting scope and wanted to secure the lens caps to the body of the scope. The caps had holes for a lanyard already so traditional lens cap leashes with the adhesive weren’t ideal (adhesive also wears out). I started looking at lanyards and this set caught my eye as workable. The part that goes through the caps was thin enough to thread through easily and the overall length good to reach when the caps are in place. Extra bonus is the black/green coordinates with my scope perfectly. They seem sturdy and a good value for a pack of 6.

Lanyard AND way to organize

I might be the only one, but I am always loosing things like remote, USB keys and others. I started attaching lanyard to these things for a few reasons. They stand out, they allow me to hang things so they don't fall behind the couch, or just hold them to my hands. These are clean (no frays), strong and inexpensive. Everything I need to add a flag to my items.

Wrist straps that actually work

I’m amazed at how many things have wrist strap holes. I’ve attached this all sorts of things: phone cases, bird calls, battery packs, controllers, keys.Strong and easy to attach.
