We currently use this on our wood deck with a solo stove on top of up. So far it has protected our deck from excessive heat and sparks. The size was as stated and seems like it’s a quality product. Cleaning is as easy as rinsing it off with a garden hose. Highly recommended!

It definitely does the job! Great product! The only weird thing is that it seems to attract ants. I had 1 fire on it, didn't eat any food on it, and the next day there were 15-20 ants on it. They must be attracted to the coating or something. Other than that, great investment!

I have new pavers in my backyard and wanted to protect them from damage while I use my offset smoker and Big Green Eggs. I needed a product to stay flat, could take some burning embers and ash, not absorb grease, folded well for storing, and is easy to clean. This mat absolutely covers all of this criteria. I now have several of them and create a six foot perimeter around the smokers and working tables. After several cooks, not one paver has been burned, greased, or damaged. I am very impressed with these mats. I am a verified buyer, not a writer.

The product is fine as a secondary item. The product is described as a protectant for a lawn under a wood burning fire pit and the photo shows it as this is all that is needed to protect the lawn. This was not my experience. I used the product as described and placed it under my fire pit and after I removed it the following day my lawn was completely burned in the area where the fire pit was. I ended up having to purchase cinder blocks to actually prevent my lawn from getting burned by the fire pit. I do not believe that this product has the heat shield to protect the lawn as it is advertised to do. It is good for protecting the lawn from grease if the fire pit is being used for cooking as it is large and thick. If you are using the fire pit mat as a grill protector on concrete then it’s likely great for that; however if you are using it as a fire pit mat on your lawn as the product is advertised, save your money and buy cinder blocks.

This is the second mat we’ve purchased for a 36” diameter fire pit which is located on our wooden deck. The dimensions are true to the listings and provide an adequate catch ring for embers that may get a little to jumpy and want to lbs outside your bowl. Contrary to other reviews, it relaxes quickly out of the bag once placed down and spread out. The folds and seems aren’t too pronounced or stiff. The edges are really reflective and help you know where the edges are easily. We recommend this product.

地獄の業火レベルでは焚き火してませんが芝生へのダメージはなさげ。 ちなみに焚き火台はスノピ社のスタンダードなヤツ。 火の付いた薪の塊が落ちればシートは焦げる。 気付くのに遅れると多分穴が空く。 綺麗な状態で使用は出来ない代物です。 日本人でウッドデッキで焚き火なさる人は極稀だと思うけど背の高い焚き火台ならこのシートでもいいんじゃない？ 地面ギリギリの焚き火台で地獄の業火レベルの火を焚くってことはしない。 たかだかペラペラのシートにそんなの求めちゃいかんよね。 私は芝生へのダメージ軽減と焚き火台の灰の後始末が楽になればと思ってこのシートを買いました。 おかげで、灰の処理は楽チン芝生も守れて良かった。
