I agree with Norman keep jar of alcohol. We scrape what we call scissor balls off then dip in. This is second order I like them so much.

This is the second pack of these I’ve purchased. Each pair was good for a pound of trim. Excellent value for money. Knowing how to put slight pressure inward on the blades compensates for design. After a lb the edge is lost. Could be resharpened but why for the price.

Sorry for my poor review on this purchase.These clippers were not sharp or precise as advertised. Did harm to my fragile plant stems .I do not think I am going to use them for that purpose.Could not even cut regular paper with those.

They are very slippery, I had to ruff them up with a grinder.

Do not by do not waste your money. We have 10 pairs and almost all of them are falling apart less than a month in. Missing screws striped screw holes and blades that fall out. Stay away.

I purchased these looking for some "trimmers" but these, although perfect for their intended use, didn't cut it for me.
