These are the real deal...
Shim kits that are easily 1 of the best options out there for aligning brakes, comps, mounts to your muzzle but the pricing here will leave you with a decision to make. If you're mounting only 1 or maybe 2 mounts then your probably good to go here. If however you are looking to be doing several then perhaps your best bet is buying direct from Gemtech. The reasoning is this, they have flat rate shipping and the kits are like 5-7$ so 1 or 2 kits here with free prime shipping although it wasn't expedited like usual prime purchases your saving a buck or 2 however if your ordering more than 2 kits your gonna save a good bit by buying them from Gemtech directly. Just an FYI I found out after the fact. Be advised. Otherwise if you need simple easy solutions for aligning your muzzle device these are the way to go hands down. 5 sizes that basically range from half turn to 1/3 to 1/4 to 1/8 turns respectively, easy peezy !

Wide variety and thick shims
For sure recommend these shims and was real pleased with them. I liked the 2mm shim and the 0.25mm shims in there that I couldn't find in other shim kits as they take up a lot of space without having to use a ton of smaller shims. I put a Griffin Armament 2 port threaded brake on my M1A and needed to take up about 1.5mm of space between the brake shoulder and the suppressor mounting surface that interfered with my front sight post. The Gemtech 2mm shim worked great and just needed a 0.14mm shim to time it properly after that. Gemtech publishes a turn-to-shim-thickness chart elsewhere that is not included in the shim pack and I feel would be very helpful to have printed with the shim setup. Just a thought.

No more rattling muzzle brakes on my AKs.
Using one package of the Gemtech Precision Muzzle Device Alignment Shim Set For Threaded Rifle Barrels I was quickly able to time the muzzle brakes on a pair of AKM rifles, leaving very little to no play in the brake. I'm very pleased with the results and my opinion is that this is better than using a file to shave off metal from the muzzle brake and also better than coating the threads with blue Loctite. No modification was needed to fit the shims over the sight block detent pin. But do be careful with the thinner shims. They are sharp and stick out ever so slightly at the bottom of the brake, enough so for me to cut my thumb on one. I plan on purchasing more of these in the future.

They work just fine
I'm new to the whole shims vs crush washer vs reverse locking nut for flash suppressors and compensators. That said a rep from Tri-Delta recommended shims over crush washers for their products which, not to get off subject, are fantastic muzzle brakes. For the nominal amount of the shims I ordered two sets, one for 30 cal and one for .223.There was admittedly a lot of trial and error using the various sizes of shims to get my compensators properly aligned but the end result was a perfect alignment. The issue I had was the top gas ports on the compensator had to properly centered. Left or right of center would have not let the compensator work properly but, as stated earlier, with trial and error I achieved a perfect alignment. I highly recommend these shims.

Great item but overpriced, returning as I found else where for half price
Great shim set and shipped quickly but will be returning. Only reason is because I found it for half the price at Harrison Gear. Shipped just as fast from [...] and I got a 1/2 x 28 set and 5/8 x 24 set. Same exact part so hard to pass up two for the price of one.

Much better than a crush washer
This worked much better than a crush washer for clocking my muzzle break to the exact position needed. There were plenty of shims in the set. I'm sure that I'll still have enough of the right sizes for one, or possibly even two, more builds. Gemtech has a fine reputation so I had complete confidence in ordering and I was not disappointed.

They work
These are good. Not a lot of variation, but combining multiple shims should get you where you need to be with any muzzle device. They are stainless, so kind of contrast on a black barrel.

Perfect variety of shims for perfect fit
Used this to attach a muzzle brake. Lined up perfectly. The pictures look like there is a gap in the rings, but that is just the cardboard holder, the rings are indeed full circle rings. Had plenty of rings left over for another project.
