Great cast ability!!
This lurecasts well has great action and great Hardware perfect for backwater striper fishing

Easiest lure to catch big fish with
For something that's really light and barely over an ounce it can fly real far. I believe the 6 inch can go the farthest than the bigger models because it has less drag in water therefore should have less drag in air. I have the newer and heavier models but I like using the 6" because it's less tiring reeling it back in and I can reel faster due to less drag. The ones with the silver rainbow sides work best on sunny days as they reflect the rainbow light. So far it has produced more than any of my surface poppers without having to do any work besides cranking. I recently started surf fishing and caught my first 10lb blue fish with it. The sp minnow has battle scars from the sharp teeth but it survived. I also catch all sorts schoolie stripers.

Terrific bait
Terns were fighting each other to grab the SP minnow from the water when cranked at full speed, it so resembles a real bait fish. Casts well, too. I'll order another 6 in several other colors for use in Southern California saltwater instead of the traditional surface "iron". What a great swimming action. On a recent Baja trip, I caught yellowtail, calico bass, bonita and slimers (pacific barracuda) on this plug. I highly recommend it. One caution: If the front hook is removed, it becomes too light to stay in the water when burned back. I'm going to change the forward treble hook for a single Siwash that weighs 1/2 a gram more than the treble, in hopes of keeping the lure a foot lower in the water on retrieve. Will still catch fish (yellowtail, calicos) with only the rear hook, though.

Great shore casting lure
Great surf or shore casting lure. Had some great hook ups to various predatory shoreline fish in Hawaii. Small GTs and Bluefin Trevally love it. Still hooks up with provided treble hooks.

Great Action
Can't tell if the striped bass necessarily like it any more than Bombers or Mag Darters where I live, but the thing looks incredibly real in the water and it casts great.
