Creative Alphabet Fun, Minor Annoyances
I bought these for my 3 year old son. He already knows his letters and sounds, but needs to work on forming the letters and these are a great manipulative to help him learn how to do that.Pros:- The stix are just the right size for the letters so that they fit on top of the tracings almost perfectly. A few stix need to be cut in half or thirds for the shorter segments, like the horizontal line of the A, but most of the pieces fit at the right length over the letters on the cards.- I like that the stix are made of yarn and wax, so that they are non-toxic. I don't have to worry about any chemicals getting on his hands that he has to wash off after he's done playing with them.- They're easy to bend and adjust and easily stick to themselves so you can make other creations as well.- They're relatively sticky on the included cardstock alphabet cards, any plastic type surface, dry-erase board, basically anything with a shiny coating, but does not stick to your hands (similar to the stickiness of a sticky note pad).- Only a light pressure is needed to keep the stix in place, even upside down.- Great assortment of colors - red, pink, orange, light green, dark green, light blue, dark blue, purple, black- Reusable again and againCons:- Some of the wax rubs off onto the alphabet cardstock and require periodic cleaning. I agree with another reviewer who suggested laminating the cards to make clean up easier.- Once they're taken off the plastic backing, they don't stick back on very well anymore as they don't lay straight. You'll need another container or baggie to store them in to keep from losing them.If you're looking for a product to help develop writing skills, these are great manipulatives to pick up, just be prepared to clean the cards off every so often and get a little baggie to store them.

Great learning toy
These are amazing! I bought these as a learning tool for my two children (ages 4 and 2.5). They live using them and have fun bending them to make each letter. My son has even told people that his favorite game is Wikki Stix. I will say this, I don't care too much for the waxy residue that they leave on your hands when you use them. It doesn't bother the kids, but I personally don't like the way it feels. Also, when I used them in the classroom, they would quickly become a sticky tangled ball. So, they do require a few steps of precaution when trying to keep them clean and neat between uses. None of the above will keep me from trying out the other products available from this company. I'm considering the numbers cards and make a picture cards for birthday gifts.

Great hands on product for teaching letters
I do "Homeschool Preschool" with my 3.5 year old 2-3 days a week. I was so excited to get these to work on with my daughter. She loves manipulating the wikki sticks into letters. We work on the letters she knows then add a new one. She does a great job shaping the wikki sticks by herself (after I demonstrated). My only complaint would be that some of the letter sizes don't work well with the wikki sticks. You end up having to use multiple or just one, but either way there is a lot left over. My daughter still gets the idea, but it would be nice if some of the sizes were adjusted a little, or there were some half size wikki sticks (you could cut them).

Hands On Writing
These work great with my students. They come with a small pack of wikki stix but I previously purchased the big pack so I am able to use the cards with multiple students at once. I brought these to help my students who are on the Autism Spectrum with their letter formation without the same way of pencil and paper. These cards and wikki stix work great. I love that it tells the steps to go for handwriting of the letter which is helping my students with their formation when comes to doing it on paper. The images on the card also have some of students labeling different pictures. Also can use these to teach letter formation and an object that begins with that sound they even have word posted on the card. VERY educational product.

This is a great product that my students use frequently
This is a great product that my students use frequently. I would recommend laminating each card before using it if you have very young students such as Pre-K or Kindergarten age. If not, the cards may not last through the school year because they could be bent or torn. Otherwise it is a wonderful product. Thank you.

Great learning tool
I purchased this to help my son learn his letters. He won't play with this for very long periods of time, but he is getting a lot out of it during the time we do spend with them. One thing I really like is that the capital and lowercase version of the letter is on the same card. We are caught in the middle of my son knowing some lowercase letters and some uppercase letters, but this helps to show that they both represent the same thing.I definitely recommend doing as suggested on the instructions and cutting some of the "sticks" down so that the letters can be properly made. The only thing that is a bit annoying, but of no fault of the manufacturer, is that the dog hair from our merry band of mutts gets stuck all over them when we play on the carpet no matter how recently I vacuumed. It is also a bit time consuming to untangle the sticks after my son wads them all up into a jumbled mess. (Again, this is to be expected with wax sticks, but it still doesn't make it fun to untangle them.)Also, on a side note, I have found that Wiki Sticks are the PERFECT way to hang stockings under the mantle! I just happened to be contemplating how to hang them more effectively than last year when I looked up and saw a stash of Wiki Sticks sitting on the mantle :)

Textural Learning
I like this unique textural experience. Wiki Stix is a fun way for anyone to learn the alphabet. They can not only learn the names and shapes of letters, but how to form them and if you add in the sounds as it is practiced, then they get to practice the phonemes along with graphemes. "A, apple, /A/." "B, bat, /b/."

I bought these thinking they were laminated cards but after opening them and letting my kids play with them, I read that I’m supposed to laminate them myself.
