L-Lysine 500mg - Hypoallergenic Essential Amino Acid Supplement - 270 Vegetarian Capsules

These are clean, no fillers and no unnecessary ingredients or additives. The product arrived quickly and was perfect for a case of shingles. I bought 2 bottles but could have got away with just one as still only on the first bottle. I guess if you find capsules hard to swallow you could break these open and dilute in water.

Excellent - has really helped

These capsules arrived very quickly which is a big plus. Well packaged and a long "use by" date. Easy to swallow as well. It is too early to say if they work or not but I will write another review in a few months on that. Why do they need to have Ascorbic Palmitate in them? I am only giving them 4 stars as I think they are a bit too expensive and I dont like the additive in them. Overall not bad though. I will probably buy again if they work.

If you are like me and get frequent nasty episodes of shingles then these Lysine capsules are for you. They block Arginine in the bodies cells and stop the shingles virus multiplying. Arginine is in many foods as well is Lysine and we must keep the right balance otherwise too much Arginine and a nasty shingles episode is around the corner. Foods like Chocolate, all Nuts, Brussel Sprouts etc... contain very high levels of Arginine as i discovered over last Christmas. I now cut out all those foods and more and take Lysine capsules to block Arginine from been boss ! Incidently foods high in Lysine include Pears Cheese meats veg apart from peas which are high in Arginine as are Strawberries.

Good quality product

I take a couple of these Lysine tablets each day to keep cold sores at bay, and for what it’s worth I haven’t had any since taking this particular brand. What I especially like about these though is the size. Other lysine tablets are enormous and hard to get down. These don’t have a bunch of filler in them, plus each tablet is half the usual dose, so although I have to take two instead of the previous one with other brands, at least I don’t choke trying to get them down.

The pot comes with a hygiene seal, plastic on the outside and Pure Encapsulations branded metal lid that you peel back on the inside. The capsules are average size, filled with white powder and easy to swallow with water. I like Pure Encapsulations products as they don’t have loads of extra fillers. Lysine is an antiviral, I’ve only been taking them a short time but will update if they’re beneficial (I take 2 a day). Thankfully they have no side effects for me.

Cold sore suffering. So wanted these to work. I have never taken tablets before to keep them at bay, only use the creams. I wish I had stuck to creams only. Now I have the worst case of coldsore outbreak ever!! This product did not work at all for me. I would put a picture up but it is sooo 🤢
