Wireless Bluetooth LED Name Badge Upgraded Rechargeable Name Tag (Blue)

I bought ten of these for staff in a nightclub so people could pick out a staff member in the dark. We had originally used hang tags with no special attributes, and people had a rough time finding staff members. I adjusted the brightness all the way down because they were so very bright, and they could still be seen across a club that was filled with lasers and strobes and all sorts of other special effects lighting. Out of the ten, I had issues with one, and wrote to VBlab and was promptly given a refund. I was so impressed with that service that I turned around and bought 6 more! I'm still testing them to see how long each one lasts. On our first trial, one petered out at about 3 hours, so I'll be keeping an eye on that one and making sure it is set at a low brightness setting. Most of the others lasted throughout our 5 hour event at fast speed with low brightness. Programming was pretty easy! I downloaded the app, connected it via bluetooth, and updated them easily. I did find that the app instructions were not super thorough, but I figured it out with some trial and error. I wasn't getting fancy, though, just using scrolling text. If you want to use symbols and effects, it looks like there's some trial and error. My largest complaint is that the magnets in the back seem not to be very strong, and we had to use the pin instead. I have some neodymium magnets and may experiment a bit with those. I'll write more when I get my next batch!

The basic functionality of this name tag is great. Its a LED tag that can display names and fun animations. It claims to last for 16 hours but I found that it last less than 3. It may have to do with how I'm using it. I go in the app and use a toggle named "switch screen settings". I'm not exactly sure what it does but it turns off the display on the tag without me having to hold the button on the side to completely turn the device off. I mainly use it to tell people when I am on a call. Since i work with a headset and am hands free in a service environment. I always get asked if I'm on a call or just get interrupted during my call. I can't have the display on the tag on all the time because I'm not on the phone all the time. So i was hoping this app had a toggle widget that I can press without reloading the app every time. so far i found to be effective is to have the app open and the scroll to the LED app and open it from there. If I don't do that the app re loads and takes time that I don't have. It's worse if I manually turned the device on and off. Not only does it take more time to hold and turn it off and on, when it loads it has loading displays that take up more time. (ill have pictures of what I mean.) Ideally I would like to see if the app can make a toggle widget that it's purpose if to the display off and on with manually pressing a button. It would also help if that function could also save the battery. What would be better if that it can detect that I'm on a call and turn on by it self! but I understand that is probably too much to ask. It's a cool device but it needs to have more functional use than just for fun. Also I cannot switch apps after connecting the device with MiniLED show app.

This thing is great! Works as expected. I once sent too long of a message, about a thousand custom characters that I wanted to animate like a starfield and it made the unit non-responsive. I contacted the seller, who immediately explained that I could restore it on my PC using standard BMP Badge software. It worked, but they also made it clear they would do what it took to make it right and that made a great impression on me.

I love these! I bought all all the colors! I am a Uber Eats driver so I bought these to use for my deliveries and help keep business going. They work very well and are bright! I use some on my windshield to help my customers identify my car as I deliver to truck drivers at truck stops and it helps quite a bit! Can’t see them in the daylight which is bummer but that’s not it’s intended use so I can’t hold hold that against them. I have noticed that they say 30 mins to charge but I have had them charging for hours before getting full charge. One miner thing and that’s in the app. While very easy to use I would like to add or rename the connections of them to something I can remember which one is which. Overall great product! Definitely recommend this!

Extremely simple to use. Download the app to your phone (I have an iPhone 8 Plus) and thru bluetooth you update the message just like you would a text basically. Once you press send, it automatically updates! I wear it out to concerts and work functions for fun and always get a great reaction from people as I'm constantly changing what it says. I will list some negatives, but just to note; even with these I still consider it a great purchase considering the price and what it does. -The magnet is pretty weak, if you bump it there is a good chance it falls off. -If you have a real long message, it takes a while to scroll even on the fastest setting so it's better to keep it short and sweet. -Sometimes when you go to update the message and press send, you'll notice it didn't go thru. You just have to reconnect, no biggie but something to keep in mind. Once again, this doesn't detract from the item at all, I would still highly recommend and for the price you can't beat it!

This is the 2nd one of these because the first broke where it plugs in to charge. (Wrote to seller who never responded) It is a major hit for my husband who is in sales!

These LED badges are great! I bought a two-pack, and I love them. The app is very easy to use, and I like that I can close the app and disconnect my phone from the badge, and it keeps scrolling. It is also easy to program multiple badges at once. They have a range of speeds and brightnesses in the app, which makes them very versatile. I haven't tested the battery life extensively, but they don't seem to be draining too fast. When I originally ordered the badges, one of them had a broken light, but I was refunded and I bought another one that worked perfectly! (video is of the one with the broken light)

I've used a few different name tags from different manufacturers, and while I LOVE being able to program these via bluetooth from my phone, the app is HORRIBLE. Many features are missing or broken. Things you can't do: (iOS version of app) 1: Edit an images you draw on the phone. (they call them graffiti). After making one, there is no way to edit it. 2: Change the font of the text. It's always a horrible serif font. (other nametags support multiple fonts) 3: Use the music feature with your own music. It only works with the 3 songs built into the app. While it does ask for permission to access your library, there is no way in the UI to add your own music, or even delete the 3 songs they pack it with. 4: Add your own images or animations. (other badges support this) 5: Adjust screen brightness. There's a slider for it, but it does not do anything to the screen. So if you are looking to save the limited battery life of this, you are out of luck. 6: Use it for a long period of time. After a full charge (when battery icon disappears to indicate charging is done) they run for about 2 - 3 hours at 100% brightness. As there is no way to reduce the brightness, that's all you get. I got the 2 pack and one of them has a glitchy horizontal and vertical line that flicker when text is scrolling, so it looks like a big + through the screen. I really just want my money back...
