Exact Fit
Awesome product, fit perfectly. This makes the 2nd Dorman product I have used, and I highly recommend their products.

It works
My original handle broke off internally so I ordered it his replacement. It is of the same design as factory. It installs just like the factory one and everything matches up. You have to take off the door panel and stuff but was easy to replace if you take your time. It functions just like the factory one. Hopefully it will be more durable than the factory one.

Esay install and they look and feel great
As others have noted these handle assemblies are slightly less rugged in terms of manufacturing overall, but for the money they're definitely good enough to give them a shot. Once installed they look and feel just like OEM. The main hinge-point drift pin for the handle lever is not as high quality as the OEM but seems to work fine. We'll see. I just swapped both sides as hairline cracks in the 2003 Sierra OEM handles caused water to seep in and rust the lower mounting studs on both sides. Fortunately I caught it just before the door skin mounting holes corroded. I don't know if I'll get 16 years out of them like the originals, but it took me less than an hour to do both sides so if they last half as long its still worth it. Tip: Don't assume that the installation process is exactly as described in "some" of the YouTube videos. Some suggest more disassembly than may be necessary. In my case it was much easier as there were only two 9/32 hex head screws (behind two pop-off plastic trim pieces) that held the whole panel on. The door panel has solid nylon hooks that make it super easy to get on and off once the two screws are out.

Good Price and Good Quality
The OEM handle on my '03 Suburban broke after 185,000 miles and one too many sub-zero Montana winters. The old one broke off right at the metal part that actuates the rod. This one appears exactly the same as the OEM in terms of look, feel, weight and apparent quality. Been installed for a couple of days now, looks and works as good the old one. Installation was easy after finding the right video online and like many others, taking the door apart took longer than replacement but is easy, including transfer the lock from the old handle. It's true the top not is a little harder to get to but it's not too bad, I just pulled back some of the plastic and reach up and was able to get a socket and ratchet on it without much trouble. Just go slow on removing the nuts and don't drop them down in the door and you'll be fine. It's also quite satisfying to successfully repair something on my vehicle for under fifteen bucks that even at a cheap shop would be at least a hundred!

Did the job!!
I bought a 2004 Suburban 1500 from my daughter in New York. When the lived in Brooklyn, a kid tried to steal it by busting out the driver's door handle. His attempt was thwarted, but the handle was destroyed. I bought the truck right after that and it had just a hole you could reach through to unlock and open the door. Replacing the handle involves removing the inside door panel, securing the window in the closed position with painter's tape (don't use packing tape, just sayin'). Then you loosed the braces at the bottom of the glass and lower the window lifter (you'll need to reattach the wiring harness so you can do this). That will give you access to the last handle nut. One thing to know, if you, like I, have no handle at all, you'll need also to purchase a new lock cylinder, the three clips and the rod that connect it to the lock, the rod that connects the handle to the door opening mechanism. I bought a cylinder kit from ebay for about $50. The other parts are affordable at a Chevy Dealer. I think they cost a total of about $40. I also had to buy new key fobs which were only $25ea here on Amazon. They worked great! One tip. Connect the rods to the handle BEFORE putting the handle back on. YOu can do this and then fish them down through the hole before you bolt it in. The reason is that the allignment is critical. Once the long handle one is hanging down, secured at the top, then you can unsnap the yellow clip in the door and place the threaded end into the clip and snap it shut. The threads are there for grip, NOT for threading into the clip.

I bought this outer driver side door handle for my truck. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I did have concerns about fit and finish prior to ordering but was pleasantly surprised by the appearance and it fit perfectly. Great product but be aware that installation mounting nuts do not come with the door handle so I had to reuse the old rusted ones from the original door handle from factory.
