OUTSTANDING BUY DIRECT FIT
I removed the trans pan, then drained torque converter. I removed the trans electrical harness. Related components were cleaned. New torque drain plug, new Mahle filter kit. The kit was an exact fit! No leaks!!!! New harness connector . Fresh fluid, smooth shifting, no engine light. In conclusion, Fabulous. Total savings....$498.00

Good product, fits well, easy to install.
Good product fits 2001 ML430 with 5 speed 722.6 Transmission. Then use 4 oz of Lubegard 63010 Platinum Universal ATF Protectant per Gallon of Valvoline Max Life ATF. Watch YouTube and follow instructions.

Fits perfectly
The filter snapped into the valve body, unlike some cheap brands. The gasket was a perfect fit.

Mann, OEM quality
I believe they are the OEM supplier for many European car manufacturers. So you kknow the quality is there. I did a comparison with the Mercedes OEN parts and I believe the only differences are the packaging and the labeling, and of course the 400% difference in dealer and Amazon's price.

Fits Properly
Unlike other filters on the market for this transmission, this one fits properly and I had no leaks after the job. Using this filter and new fluid at 100000 miles caused the transmission to shift smoother. To get as much fluid out as possible, remove the return cooler line and place it in a bucket. You may need to use some bulk hose to get it in the bucket. Put a funnel in the dipstick tube and start the car. Start pouring new fluid into the dipstick tube. Watch the fluid coming out of the hose. Once it is red (about 4 quarts) shut off the car. Top the transmission off and you will be set.

Das Teil macht einen sehr soliden Eindruck und ist, wie man es von Mann-Filter kennt, sehr gut verarbeitet. Ich konnte es leider nicht mehr einbauen, da das Auto kurz darauf kaputtgegangen ist – aber der erste Eindruck ist wirklich top. Ich kann nur empfehlen, bei Autoteilen lieber gleich zu Markenprodukten zu greifen. Aus Erfahrung: Das lohnt sich einfach. Lieber einmal etwas mehr ausgeben als später Ärger mit Billigteilen zu haben. Also – kann man wirklich nichts Negatives sagen!
