Okay for the price, bad button placement.
The price was right for an occasional 2nd player controller.HOWEVER - The ABXY buttons are very small and close together. Normally this would not be a problem for me as I do not have particularly large hands. But, in addition to being small and close together, they are also closer to the middle of the controller than the outside edge. These 3 design quirks add up to accidental button presses for some games, typically games that frequently require pressing multiple buttons at once. For example, when playing Super Mario world and holding down Y with your thumb to run, if you then try to tap B with the side of your thumb to jump, you will often also accidentally press A due to the angle of your thumb resulting from the location of the buttons, and the buttons' small size and close proximity to one another.

Worth it!
I was on the fence about getting a non-Wii branded pro controller, but this unit has been pretty good after a couple of weeks of using it.It DEFINITELY makes SMW3D more enjoyable. In fact, I prefer this to the gamepad that comes with the WiiU. Which is just as well as my son likes the pad, and actually uses it to play (meaning not our 40" LCD monitor).I can get sweaty in your hands, but I cannot imagine any controller being immune to sweaty hands.Worth it!

Controller is colorful and seems to work fine, however ours had broken mini usb connector on ...
Follow up to my first review. Controller broke and was returned a few days after receiving. Company received and signed for controller on 5/14 however did not follow up with a refund. I realized almost a month later credit not completed. Contacted Amazon and they handled everything. Company wrote asking I change my review so went from 1 star to 3. Controller is colorful and seems to work fine, however ours had broken mini usb connector on device which after 2 days would not allow it to charge. My son enjoyed the controller until it broke.

Low quality product.
I'm usually of the "get what you pay for," mindset, and stay far away from cheaper electronics; after all the 4 and 5 star products that turned out to be junk from amazon, I came to use and embrace fakespot (hello fake reviews!). Yet after seeing some reviews from other sources, I decided to save 20$ + and spring for an aftermarket alternative instead of the Nintendo controller.Itooks cool (if blue lights are your thing) but felt noticably cheaper than other premium brands I've owned in the past (logitech, Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, etc.) Logged about 15 hours of game time over the course of about a year and a half, kept safely away in a cupboard most of its life, and I even charged it about halfway to maintain the life of the lithium battery while it was in storage. This controller never touched the hands of a child or irresponsible owner, never dropped, and kept in a dry, air conditioned environment it's entire ownership. After picking up Zelda today, I brought it out and it decided not to charge or turn on. I've tried every suggestion online and decided it wasn't worth the trouble to try to get the warranty for a product I never really liked from the beginning; best case scenario, I get a new replacement and probably have it break on me again while sitting in the cupboard. Pdp had their one chance to make me their customer, but I will never buy from them again. I guess that I should have bought the first party one from the beginning, and trusted my instinct. You may want to do the same.

great controller
works great on Call of Duty and other wii u games that work better with controller, I use it for multiplayer on madden, FPS, and pretty much anything where you want to have a controller handy. some games don't allow a pro controller and only allow a wii remote but every game that says it allows Pro Controller accepts this and I have had no issues with this operationally. The plastic had a strange sticky-ish feeling when I first got it, like it was freshly melted into it's shape off a line or something but after I've had it for a while it now feels more comfortable and no longer feels like a sticker. Pretty durable, Sticks are a little quick for novices but if you play xbox or something and know how the sticks are these sticks are almost exactly the same as those controllers, different controller entirely though, don't expect a 360 controller.overall good controller, durable, clean, fast reacting, tip: keep it plugged in mostly when you play it's standalone time like most wii u controllers is not very long(maybe an hour or 2)

A few minor cons but definitely worth the buy
This controller is honestly the best choice of any of the many Wii U controllers. It functions identically with the Nintendo version while also looking better and being cheaper. The controller does have a few cons though, the main one being the smaller battery life compared to the Nintendo version, I get about 20 hours per charge and a little less if the LEDs are turned on. Another con is that the ZL and ZR buttons are analog triggers even though the Wii U doesn't support analog so it does have a lot of travel before anything happens. Lastly the controller sometimes when turned on it will read as moving to the left constantly and must be reconnected to fix the problem. Overall this controller is very much worth it and if you aren't nit picky with its cons it will be your favorite controller

disappointed
Since the Wii U only has one control I purchased the Afterglow Pro Controller so that each of my two grandsons would have a control. To eliminate the stress of sharing on Christmas. I was totally shocked to see how "small" the control is and was disappointed. Now my concern is when WII U comes out with a console that can handle two controls (which I am hearing that Japan already has) do I have to purchase a new console and I guess it will be considered an "upgrade".Can you understand the frustration and never ending purchases of Wii, Wii U and " Wii U2"....

Afterglow has quality 3rd party products.
For a 3rd party Wireless controller, it's pretty good. All the buttons work. Battery life is good. Charges using micro-USB to USB port.Pro: It's cheaper than the Nintendo brand.Con: The buttons don't feel right. When you're playing something like Super Smash Bros. You want to know where the buttons are without looking.

Bueno, bonito y Barato
El control esta muy padre, la bateria le dura demasiado, la larga duracion es caracteristico de los controles afterglow, la vibracion de los controles es pasable, y muy facil de sincronizar,...
