Mounts well to window -- stable, our cats love it...we ended up buying 3 for different locations and they are great for naps in the sun and for cats to watch wildlife out the window.

We've had this thing several years now... through two sets of cats! Five years ago, my older cat and the younger cat we got a bit later, neither one of them liked it or used it, so we eventually took it down and stashed it. Both of them have since died and we got two sister teenage cats. THEY LOVE IT SO MUCH. Sometimes they use it at the same time. Thankfully they're small-ish (8-9 lb) cats. It probably would not hold two 13-pound cats. But most of the time, my kitties use it separately -- during the day and throughout the night, taking turns sharing the comfy shelf, which gives them a great view of the trees and birds in the yard.

Cat Approved! This perch has been a fantastic addition to our home. To ensure a secure installation, I used both tape and screws, which provide extra stability. Our 14-pound cat loves it—whether she’s lounging or jumping up and down, the perch remains steady and reliable. Highly recommended for cat owners looking for a sturdy and comfortable window perch!

So, I ordered this shelf a while ago and ADHD kicked in so here I am half a year later setting it up.Pros:-Easy to follow instructions-Easy to click in the legs, but feels sturdy-Love that there's a non-permanent set-up option as I am a renter-Soft plush cover, cute design-Soft memory foam pad linerCons-"Hardware" i.e. the hook-and-loop (Velcro) strips were kind of messed up upon arrival. One of them had apparently plaster/wall paint on it (wtf), and the other had been stuck together with the backing in the wrong direction, meaning, no sticky residue on one of the sides of the strips (see pics). I think I may have gotten this open box ("like new" lol) so maybe someone recycled the hook and loops. Whatever...So, given the above con, I didn't want to take the risk using one and a half Velcro strips, especially given that my cats are of the big-boned (chonky) variety. Sooo, I frankensteined the sticky part as much as I could with some heavy duty Velcro command strips I had on hand, as well as double sided glue tape tacky (comes in a roll, $11, also from Amazon). I absolutely covered the back of this thing with Velcro and glue tape and I'm currently weighing it down w some 5lb weights letting it adhere. The good news is it feels very sturdy, and it's laying nice and flush against the wall. We'll see, I'm going to give it 24 hrs before I let one of the chonkers up there, but I'll update this if it stands up well to 17lbs of chaotic cat.UPDATE: Hello! So the shelf has been up for a little over a week now and our thicc boy loves it. My Frankensteined glue tape/Velcro strip mess seems to have done the trick. I definitely recommended this window bed, but I also highly suggest augmenting with additional sticky strips if you're going the non-permanent installation route.

Great product, the cats love it. This is my second one. The foam insert gets a bit torn up over time, but I threw both in the wash, and they came out looking very clean and new. The cats love to sit in the window and bird watch, and I also liked the fabric quality. Great overall - little expensive but otherwise very nice

Stury and easy to attach to window sill. Bought one for front room and one for a rear facing window...he lives on them! Hung bird feeders near windows ...hours of wildlife entertainment !

For the price, this is an absolute steal! I picked up two of them and wasn't expecting very much but in terms of stability, ease of installation and feline appreciation it's definitely a win-win here! I just brought three very finicky Oriental Shorthair kittens home, and one of the first things that they started to do was try to climb on the windowsill to look out the window so I decided to look for a ledge or shelf for them. What attracted me to this one was the fact that it did not rely on suction cups which, no matter how strong they are, we all know that's they will eventually lose their suction and for me that is a risk I'm not willing to take with my precious kittens. Attaching this with the three included screws would be my recommendation, considering it only took me about two minutes to install this and it's certainly worth the additional security and stability above using the Velcro. What I would suggest however is using the Velcro and cutting it into several pieces and using it to stick the cover to the bottom of the plastic ledge so that it cannot come off as easily. The first thing my kittens did when they jumped up on it was cool at it and then nip at it and pull at the fabric, when the fabric did not come loose they gave up and now have yet to pick at it since. I also took the cover edge in the back underneath the frame before attaching it with the screws so it was tightly held between the window and the cover providing additional adhesion to the base. The bottom line here is though the fact that my cats absolutely love it! They've gone from lying on their cat tree most of the time to spending most of their daytime naps on this new shelf. The fact that it was made of plastic and the bracing legs are plastic also I really didn't expect it to be as stable and solid feeling as it was. The only thing I wish was that the legs were either white or black and the fabric came in more colors, like solids. But again for the price, if it bothered me so much I would just paint the legs and find a different cover for it but the kittens don't seem to mind so I'm OK with it if they are. I picked up two of these and they will definitely get a lot of use until I have my box window installed for my kittens. Great buy! Highly recommended!
