Great idea - glad I thought of it!!
These are a big improvement over the usual way I used to serve my cereal - open the lid of the box, pour from the wax paper liner or the bag into the bowl, put the box back together and then try to get it back in my cramped cupboard. It doesn't sound like much, but the process of taking the box down, messing with it and then putting it back up is much, much easier and neater with the solid, neat looking containers than with a flimsy cereal box.

Handy
I buy croutons in bulk. I pour what fits from the very large bags of croutons into one of these containers. It keeps them fresh and handy. If you use a lot of rice, and buy those 5 to 10 lb size bags, these are also great for storing rice. Or bulk pasta.

Quality product
Quality containers. 5 pounds of flour do fit in each one. Easy to handle, which is great for getting in/out of the top cabinets. These were better priced than some others but didn't skimp on quality.

Good for storing sugar and flour
I bought these for storing sugar and flour in my kitchen cabinet. They work well, but need to be scrubbed out really well due to the strong plastic smell inside the containers. I would have given 5 stars if not for the strong odor.

Ant-proof your snacks!
I love these wide-mouth clear plastic containers! I use them for snacks, tea bags, etc for the office and home. If you have problems with ants getting into your snacks, then this is a perfect solution. I love the wide-mouth because it's so convenient. Just reach in and grab your snacks and then tighten the lid back on. It keeps your snacks fresh and keeps the ants out. Love it!!!

What I wanted.
I got these for my recipe cards for protection.

Very thin and easily crushed.
They are good size with a wide opening. However, for the price, they are VERY thin and not solidly built. I may use them for some household items, but I’m not too sure they are good for food products, which is what I had purchased them for. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend these.
