Worth it!!!
I absolutely love the original ticket to ride game, so I got this and it’s so much better. It’s easy to add the expansion in because it just upgrades the quality your train tickets, adds more routes, which is so much more fun to play, especially with more people. It’s small so it doesn’t take out space, and the train cards look so much better anyways! Dump the tiny original train cards!

More routes & larger cards!
Definitely worthwhile -- larger cards and more routes for US version. We play with 3-4 people and love it.

Ticket to Ride +1
This is a strong addition to the core of the Ticket to Ride game. It's not a true expansion in the sense of it doesn't change anything in how you play really, but it does add a few things to the game. First of all it adds new missions for you to take, which adds more variety to the game, especially if you've played it for awhile. The original game only had so many so you could kind of tell after awhile which paths people are pursuing, especially if they decided to trek cross-country. With the added cards, this is a lot less certain. and attempts to block paths may end up more fruitless than ever because of it. With almost 40 new missions you can play for a long time and still be surprised by it. Also, with so many new missions, fishing for that one mission by drawing incessantly is no longer as easy as it once was, which discourages that strategy a bit. Secondly, it gives you more normal-sized train cards as replacements for the tiny ones that come with the original. This makes them a lot easier to shuffle, especially if you have bigger hands. This was a nice bonus to add to it to give it some value, and pretty much a godsend if you hated the tiny cards as they were. It adds new ways to play the game, which i can't recall at this time as I gave this as a gift to someone who has the game. One of them is to play with 1910 cards only, and it adds some flair to the game that allows for a twist...we played this and it didn't really add a whole lot of depth to it but it did ensure that we got to see and use the newer cards immediately. Overall this is a solid buy for the price. As the title says its basically an add-on rather than a true expansion. You can probably skip this purchase if you wanted but it's not really all that expensive, so it is worth the cost if you want bigger cards or a nice gift to get someone that has the game.

Great Addition to the Original Game
This is expansion pack is 100% worth the money if only for the new larger cards. They make the game so much more pleasant to play. Our family loves Ticket to Ride, but the small cards were so annoying to shuffle and kind of made us dread the point when the draw pile ran out. The new cards are easier to shuffle and much easier to hold and keep organized in your hands. You will still have to shuffle the draw deck, but it's no longer a dreadful activity. Other than the card size there's not a huge amount of extra stuff really. A few small ways to change up the game. We enjoy the new routes and the new ways to play, but I don't know that I would recommend this pact for those on their own. But after playing the original game for so long it's great to change it up a little and make it a little less predictable.

A worthwhile upgrade, but don't let anybody tell you this turns it into Ticket to Ride Europe
This expansion pack makes the original Ticket to Ride U.S. version a much more playable and enjoyable game. the cards are bigger and easier to shuffle, and there are many more tickets, with a wide variety of destination lengths. This makes for better game play for a number of reasons. As for those reviews suggesting that this 1910 expansion pack somehow turns the U.S. version of Ticket to Ride into the more interesting and complex Ticket to Ride Europe version -- not so fast. The Europe version has stations, which was a great addition to the original game. This expansion pack adds more tickets and bigger cards. so it's more an incremental lift than it is an overhaul.

Don't play Ticket to Ride without 1910
I'll be direct: The Ticket to Ride series is my favorite board game series. We LOVE connecting our cities on the Heart of Africa map, or trying to link the 4 countries in the Switzerland map. Ticket to Ride Europe is our favorite full box game, but we felt like the base game, Ticket to Ride (North America) is, well, dull. Don't get me wrong, It's still Ticket to Ride! But the choice of destination was limited, and the small playing cards? AWFUL! Just AWFUL. You get these large tickets for all of the maps, and the large train cards with Ticket to Ride Europe, but the small cards meant our Ticket to Ride base game was gathering dust. Until we bought 1910: Suddenly, you have all these destinations which mix things up, and you know what? You get the big cards now!!! Not just for the tickets, but also for the trains... Our small cards never left their recessed holding spots in our box and instead, we now place 2 bags of trains per slot (and the spare trains) and use the remaining 2 for the tickets and the train cards. It fits! Even with sleeves! But now, you get 3 modes of play: The Base game, with just the original ticket (with a few welcomed corrections in point values for some error tickets), Big Cities, for which ALL tickets are just to 8 cities (including the frustrating Miami) The BIG Game, which includes ALL of the tickets, and believe me, if you shuffle them well, ,you'll never get 2 games alike... Now, I won't lie to you, Ticket to Ride (North America) is STILL our least favorite map, but now, at least, we'll play it once in a while and it got back at the best for introducing new players to the series since it's the ONLY game without ANY special rules (no ferries, no tunnels, no lost trains, no special cards, no train stations or passengers). But without 1910, you are stuck using the tiny useless cards... Well, they are 100% useless: with 1910 and 3 full games (North America, Europe and Marklin) and the pumkins train, you get 4 set of Train cards (3 big and 1 tiny ) and 16 train sets. This allows you to use your map collections for FOUR simultaneous Ticket to Ride games of 16 players (We were planning 3 for Switzerland, 5 for Europe, 4 for Asia and 4 for Africa), with a Marklin or India finale for the 4 winners... but the game didn't work out (long story, coordinating 16 players is HARD). You could even play with 17 players if you use a 6 player team Asia game... In short, 1910 is awesome...

A Box of Cards that adds a Lot to GamePlay
As an avid Ticket to Ride player, I had to buy this expansion pack. It honestly doesn't give you much - it is basically a box of cards. 20 bucks for a box of cards is a little pricey, hence me taking off one star. But otherwise, this is a great addition to the game. The full size train cards are nice - the small ones that one with the original game are quite tiny. And the additional route tickets are fantastic, especially since they include ALL cities - the standard game actually misses quite a few. In the original game, it was easy to learn all of the routes, and be able to predict which cards your opponents had based on their moves. With this expansion, that is gone! Plus it gives you a few additional ways to play. While they additional game modes are not anything extremely different (you honestly could think of these on your own), they do give some nice variety, and require different strategies. PROS: -Large size train cards -Route tickets that utilize ALL cities -More routes = more strategy -Additional Game Options are fun CONS: -Expensive for what is basically a box of cards -New Gameplay options aren't THAT special Overall, I would recommend this! Just try to find it when it's on sale ;-)
