i would never encourage you to use a plug as a receptacle and what we call in show business a “suicide adapter”. Search for the “receptacle” version of this wiring device, not the “plug” version.

If you used this in the manner you suggest, you would be creating “hot pins” which even though you feel sure you would never remove the receptacle-to-receptacle adapter you’d make, someday for some unforeseen reason it would be out of there and the parallel blades would be carrying voltage for anyone and anything to have a very surprising and dangerous interaction with.

“Plugs” aka “males” have “Pins”, and they never are part of an electrical system in a way that they can “be hot” and therefore easily touched to created shocks or sparks or worse. “Receptacles” aka “females” do not expose metal voltage carrying surfaces - they are encased behind plastic that’s certified not to melt up to certain voltages flowing nearby, and are safe to be the part that’s “hot”, and awaiting insertion of a “plug” to electrify a device.

Don’t use electricity wrong. ever. it’s not your friend. it doesn’t even like you even though it doesn’t know you. It will happily injure people and melt objects and burn down structures. 👍

It may.  I think it would depend on the amperage of your heater.  There are 20 amp plugs available as well.
