Love this story so much …
Love this story so much, that I am now reading the whole series. Sweet, funny, selfless love, great friends, and an amazing family. I have all the series in kindle, paper books, and audible (because I am addicted to audiobooks).

Fun, quick read
3 1/2 stars. This starts off great. It has everything you want out of it: meet cute, humor, amazing male lead, heroine who comes to life with the H, but then it falls a little flat. 85% of the story is the back story of how they fell in love and then only 10% or less shows them how they reconnect and end up together. That falls a bit flat for me. After all they’d been through 5 pages over how if fizzles out, one chapter on where Emory is now and then bam back together was just not enough catharsis for the heart wrenching breakup that crushed them both. This must be one of Quinn’s earlier pieces because the style of writing is a bit different and there isn’t a fully finished s*x scene until the end and only one. But the bits and pieces they do do are cute and full of chemistry. I absolutely loved Knox Gentry. He was one of the sweetest and cutest male leads I’ve read in awhile. He’s memorable and funny and driven. Would love to see more of him in other books if she decided to make a trilogy and show Carson’s story or Holts.

a novel with chemistry and sexual tension that is out of this world
This is probably my favorite book that I’ve read by Meghan Quinn to date. I am a sucker for a good slow burn and this one was a slow burn. The Locker Room tells the love story of Knox, a college baseball player who is on his way to being first pick in the draft, and Emory, a transfer with a rough past in the romance department that is determined to chase her dreams. After a meet cute, Knox is hooked on Emory and begins the journey of getting her to give him a chance–however Emory has been burned and burned bad, so as Knox shows her that he is different, Emory must decide if love is worth the risk.I am not ashamed to say that I binged reading this one while at work and neglected all my projects just so I could find out what happens next to these lovebirds (probably not the wisest decision as now I am scrambling at work but #worthit). Quinn dishes up a slow burn that reeks of sexual tension I cannot even begin to describe to you. We get to see the progression of Emory and Knox’s relationship as it transitions from strangers to friends to lovers.I honestly loved every single moment in this book, I couldn’t get enough of their relationship and the character development of Emory and to some degree Knox. Deep, connective, and relatable, Emory is the girl we can all see a bit of ourselves in. After being hurt by her ex, Emory packs her bags and transfers to a different university licking her wounds and determined to do things for her instead of someone else. She never expects her feelings for Knox to evolve and grow outside the boundaries of friendship, however as we get deeper into the novel we see that when Knox sets out to woo–the boy woos.My heart swooned relentlessly as I watched Knox convince Emory he was it for her, the attentiveness, the heart, and the honest to god genuineness Knox showed Emory made me instantly invested in his objective, I swear you can just start calling me team Knox because wow I am in that man’s corner. I love his relationship with our supporting cast and how much of a gentleman he was to those he came across. Perfect in every way imaginable, yet he never comes across as a gary-stu character.Quinn out does herself with this novel as we see an honest take of a relationship forming and the ups and downs that come with one. Its been days since finishing and I am still captivated by her words and their story. If you are a lover of romance and slow burns I definitely without a doubt recommend this novel to you. Funny, romantic, and deep, The Locker Room is a novel with chemistry and sexual tension that is out of this world that you wont be able to put down until the very end.

An absolute must read
New author for me, and I found this gem checking my friends feed on Good Reads. And OMG I am so happy I clicked this read. I cried. I laughed. And I just plain fell in love with this story. Even with how it all played out, I can't rate this enough. When Emory transfer Brentwood University, she's still in the process of dealing with a bad breakup. Six years of her life wasted on an asshole who she pretty much threw her life away for. Giving up her friends, her dreams and herself for him. But when she catches him cheating on her the way she handled that? Omg it was priceless, and so visually funny what she did (I'll let you experience it for yourself) but needless to say you need to read it to picture it.Okay so now she's away from this cheating ass and is now at Brentwood, back with her two best friends and starting over. Doing what she dreamed of always doing. Meeting someone new is so far off her radar it's not even a possibility in her mind. But seeing Knox Gentry (god I love his name) and she is re-thinking her choice, not that she'll admit it.Knox Gentry (ahh his name) is a baseball god. This guy is going places, Major league places. But Knox is also a good guy. He's funny, charming and loveable. And the moment he meets Emory he know's in that instant that she's someone he was meant to meet. And he's relentless in his pursuit. I can't say enough about him but he is such a genuinely refreshing lead character that you can't help but smile as you read. The banter between these two is off the charts. Their text messages? OMG I'm still smiling big they were funny, hot and made you want more. But Emory is wary, she's over her ex but six years of your life is not easy to forget. She values the friendship she's formed with Knox. It's special and she doesn't want to lose that. But she also can't deny the attraction either. It's a slow build, but it's also damn sexy hot. Everyone is on board and rooting for these two. His team-mates, his mom (she is GOLD and I fell in love with her) her best friends who push her when needed. And just when you think its going to be happily ever after it's not. She lets him go. Knox has a huge future ahead of him and Emory knows that him trying to hold on to them will ruin it eventually. Knox though is heart broken. He doesn't see it that way. But Emory is adamant and won't be swayed. She loves him enough to let him go. Cue the ugly crying. It was not pretty and I seriously thought WTF? I put the book down and thought I can't deal with this. It's like they broke up with me, personally.Fast forward over the next eight years. You get a glimpse of what they have both achieved. Knox went onto Baseball glory. Emory achieved her goal and became a librarian. Neither forgot the love they had for each other. But it's meeting eight long years later and what they had really never left either of them. Theres angry words, loss and pain. And I must admit I'm still pissed at Emory for making that decision for them both but I can see her point of view. But once you get past all of what they lost and could have had you realise that the right choices were made for them at the time.I fell in love with Knox Gentry and this story. I can't give it enough stars.Get ready for your new book boyfriedn.
